In this video, we look at the atomic number and mass number. First, I discuss how to use the atomic number and the mass number to work out the numbers of protons, neutrons and electrons in atoms of specific elements. We then look at what is meant by isotopes and why these differ in the mass number. Finally, we learn how to work out the structure of ions.

Conduction and convection are no longer on the AQA GCSE spec. There are videos on infrared radiation.

Mr Shaun I'm wondering if you could give me advice since I'm in yr9 and I want to move up sets since I'm doing foundation and I've been struggling at science and that's the subject which isn't letting me move up.

My advice is to ask your teachers which topics you are doing next and then watch all my videos on those topics in advance. Watch them as often as you need to. Aim to get a good mark in your topic tests.

Hi. Yes I'm going to remake all of my GCSE videos. They won't be different enough for you to remake your revision cards. In most cases they'll be essentially the same. It's really to improve the sound quality.

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. In the A level Biology specs for OCR and AQA, those terms are really Year 13 topics (do you do Edexcel?). I will be making videos on them in the future.

Hi. I'm aiming to get as many done as possible (as well as A level) before the 2024 exams. However, bear in mind that all I'm really doing is making them look and sound nicer. I'm not changing any of the actual learning. So the existing videos are still fine to use.
