Theres one thing i dont understand In small molecular substances we break of the intermolecular forces but in giant covalent bonds we break of the covalent bonds why dont we also break the intermolecular forces in giant covalent bonds

A giant covalent substance only has covalent bonds because essentially it's all one big molecule. There are no intermolecular forces.
