@@supanova88 excellent already watched the jersey one! i have read the flight manual about the ctot and kind of understand it but an explanation from you aswell would really help. a bit of helpful criticism for your videos! please buy a good quality a microphone, even a blue yeti mic is good enough for youtube videos. the quality of your current mic seems terrible. just want to help you grow the channel!

@supernova thank you for the excellent video, but I haven't had any luck starting either engines. The ignition switch won't do anything. is there some common mistake i am making? or is it some sort of bug? I even tried following the checklist provided by the aircraft but still have no luck. Thanks for reading and i hope you respond (i'm completely stumped!!!)

I haven't used the LES Saab 340 for a while, but I believe it has some issues with latest versions of X-Plane 11. If you're following the checklist carefully and the engine aren't starting the LES forum linked below would probably be the best place to find answers: forums.x-pilot.com/forums/forum/158-saab-340a/

Excellent tutorial @supernova One question, when you set heading, or course, you have an indicator in the upper left screen of the corner; it is a lua script (which)? or any other plugin? Thanks in advance
@supanova884 жыл бұрын
You can display the information through an option available through the menus at the right edge of the screen.

HI I like Yours tutorials very much. I have one question - what is L&R HP VALVE and how it should work in this plane? When auto, closed and reset? Thanks

Great vid. Just one question. Why are the left and right avionics switched on, then off and then on again?
@supanova885 жыл бұрын
You get to check the avionics are working before starting the engines.

Very impressed with your extensive explanation of the aircraft's system but must admit that when I look at those various diagrams they look quite complicated and I sympathize with those who have to decipher them. I would like to know whether your startup procedure follows the official documentation as I observed that it differs in some aspects to the pop up virtual checklists which LES have integrated in the sim & also to another list provided by a 3rd party. If it is the official Saab procedure I will probably try to use it as much as possible. I noticed you used this procedure in your Destination Jersey video & you also mentioned that you had only seen where the right engine is first startup. Someone mentioned elsewhere that the left engine is first startup if the GPU is being used, the reason being that the crew running the unit attach it to the starboard side of the aircraft and it would be hazardous for them to be around the prop. The procedure is to start the left engine, turn on the gen & tell the crew they can buzz off. BTW I believe that RL Saab pilots drop the prop revs back soon after take off & don't wait for cruise height. I have started to adopt that procedure & so far it seems to be OK. Keep up the good work on your videos.
@supanova886 жыл бұрын
The checklist I use is based on the Saab procedures. The right engine can be started first to facilitate passenger loading on the left side of the aircraft. I believe some operators start the left first, but I have never seen it done like that.
@spagoz21366 жыл бұрын
@@supanova88 I suppose that in those situations the passengers would have to be on board & the doors closed before the cart is used for left engine startup. You wouldn't really like to be heading for the stairs with that prop spinning. I have written out your procedure list for future reference but have added one item early.....oxygen on. Perhaps you may have some idea as to what "Pusher Disarm" does on the oxygen panel & what function the sliders do just below that switch....if anything.
@supanova886 жыл бұрын
I have not found any information on oxygen. I don't include it in the checklist for that reason. If I do find more information I'll update the checklist.

Still the best s340, the Carenado version have such bad flight dynamics compared to this one. Still my favourite plane.
