Partizan M Dual Sided Suit Russian Cold Camo

The Partizan M is a dual sided camouflage suit used by the Russian special forces for full body masking in spring and fall. It features the German Oak Leaf camouflage pattern, both the lighter green spring and darker brown fall variations. It is incredibly effective in a multitude of environments and seasons. Quality is top notch. The suit is extremely comfortable and can be worn in warm weather and cold weather with additional layers, thanks to its loose fit. Two thumbs way up.

camo great, glad to see you using a old hickory knife. People think because it is in expensive that in is no good. But I beat that that is the sharpest knife you got and that you can resharpen it the fastest. Had one for years.

Great review brother! I really love this suit, I’ll be wearing mine this fall a lot more. The SS Leto summer suit is a lot thinner, great for hot weather. I like that this one is a bit thicker, and loose enough to put layers underneath. The pattern on both sides, and both suits are very effective.

Great review brother and I'd enjoy seeing an overnighter .. those are always a plus! The two types of camo patterns and colors in one suit along with the comfort is really nice and would be ideal for tough hunts where there's a lot of traversing and stalking over rough terrain. I love this smock, the pattern is awesome! I have 2 smocks from Terusteleka both im olive and their camo (mo5?)... as I am not in the military, if I eventually need to improve the camouflage for hunting or evading a threat I can use a snuper veil appropriate for the terrain / season! These are good to go.. However they use industrial ink jet printers to put the pattern on the fabric and then bake on the pattern to get it to stick . This is the cheap way to do it and it will rub off with normal use creating friction. As opposed to (for example) my SS Leto suit that uses dye that pernitrates and is soaking into the fabric that will not wear off . Both Bjorn and myself have experienced this rubbing away of the pattern from simple use.. It was bought from Russian Cold Camo and mine from The Grey Shop.. Whats more is I recommend ONLY HAND WASH because a machine wash will kill the camo with fade.. It was disappointing to see this happen as its usually only found in cheap camo garments made in China for civilian use..

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Makes sense. I noticed my first gorka suit faded after washing it and quickly got in the habit of doing just that, hand washing in 5 gal bucket and air dry. Been doing that with all the suits. Is the Leto suit different than the Partizan?

I agree! I often heard that you should only do hand wash. I put it in fresh air and brush dirt of after use. Only washed the pants two times with hand, colour is still good 👍🏻 The camo on gorka e for example holds better i guess.

If you wanted a bit of a snugger fit would you recommend going down a size? I believe I'm a 44-6 in the Russian sizing. 6'2"/188cm and 34"/88cm in the chest.

I typically wear 54/6. This suit is 58/6 and I am really glad it is. The baggy fit is comfortable, gives room for layers, and definitely helps distort the outline. If you look at pics of the guys using these suits, they are almost always way oversized.

How does this compare to a Gorka such as SSO's Gorka-E? Which is lighter weight/more breathable/warmer/more comfortable? I'm looking for something for hiking and mountain climbing in spring and autumn, so looking for something that won't make me overheat while on the move but will help keep wind off me when I'm stationary somewhere for a while.

It is similar to a summer weight gorka. It is meant for spring and fall use. Gorka is more water resistant. For hiking in mountains, I would recommend a gorka 3. You want slightly oversized for adding layers underneath. I hand wash in cold water and air dry only or they will shrink. Other than that, it is really exceptional outdoor clothing.

Yes indeed. The pockets and buttons switch sides as you turn the suit inside out. Belt loops on both sides. The engineering on this suit is incredibly well thought out.

Thats how I would use it, with cover to break up the body’s outline. Not to mention, in every shot I could see camera.
