I would love that so much. I completely missed it back then simply because I live in France and it never got localized back there. It's a really under appreciated game and I'm surprised square Enix didn't use a similar system for recent FF games.

Be careful what you ask for since Squeenix track record for porting their older titles isn't the greatest. If it isn't a Final Fantasy game they tend to half arse it. The most up to date Chrono Trigger port for example was so very lazy it's basically still worse than the DS version. Then you can also see how they mangled Secret of Mana in an attempt to remake it. Though I hear the SOM3 remake is actually looking decent so who knows maybe they could do better.

Square Enix doesn't seem to care about Chrono anymore which pisses me off, nothing for the series in 19 years except the DS Trigger port...

Knowing that Chrono Cross is now 20 years old makes me feel incredible old. I used to play it everyday, got all characters, did all endings, and it fills me with happiness and nostalgia to see it being run on GDQ. Thank you for the runner, for the commentators and for the staff that made it possible.

3:06:27 actually, the reason you don't see the archipelago in Chrono Trigger is because it didn't exist. The Time Crash, which is caused by the events of Chrono Trigger, sends Chronopolis back in time, and the El Nido Archipelago is created with terraforming technology before everyone's memory is wiped by FATE.

This was the RPG that truly drew me into the world of RPGs. I turned 30 this year and I bought Chrono Cross with my Christmas money back in 2000 because I thought the cover looked cool. Definitely one of the best impulse-buys I've made. I'll always cherish the memories of playing through this game for the first time...

Thank you very much to the runners for uploading one of my favourite games. I played Chrono Cross almost 20 years ago, importing it on a modified PSX to Europe back in the day. The soundtrack inspired me to learn guitar and it remains one of the most important pieces of media in my life. I've always been meaning to play it again, but didn't have the time or patience to go through it again. You've fulfilled that goal for me! I really appreciate the endurance and talent it takes to make a 7-hour speedrun relaxing, entertaining and enjoyable! Thanks again guys.

It took me a while, but I finally got to watch this. Absolutely incredible strategies! The critic in me is disappointed in this game compared to what it could've been, but it'll always be one of my favorite games of all time. 4:02:26 after saving Riddel you talked about going to the Viper Manor study and the Prophet still being there despite it being a different world. Aren't you mixed up? In the Home World the Manor was destroyed so the room doesn't even exist, plus Marcy and the other Dragoons were all dead for not being worthy of the flame. You can only get into the above ground manor in Another World and the Prophet (at least at the manor) is only in that world.

All we need is a 2D HD remaster (think of Octopath Traveler) of Chrono Trigger for the switch and all will be well. I hope the remake of Live A Live, which I will also be getting, does well so Chrono Trigger can hopefully get the remake for the new generation. Edit: Finally got the remaster and it looks amazing and plays great. I am definitely using this Speedrun as a guide along with another 100% guide and my game is going great so far. I can't wait to see a new Speedrun for the Switch version

Wow! I had no idea Sprigg was so freaking broken, and all those buffs/debuffs were so good. Does always needs Sprigg to get the kill for her to obtain the monster?

Yes, but if you get the acc "forget-me-not-pot" on chronopolis the character equipped with it can kill the enemy and sprigg can learn the transformation.

@@samuelviden7412 the broken part isnot diminish but dopple Sprigg. The hit rate and atk is so so brutal. Dopple monster got very high hit rate and whatever you pick the atk just mindblowing.

I remember we played this game dario was playable character , I witness when my friend recruited Dario when the viper manor was rebuilt he told me you should play at least 60 hrs. Dario , Serge ,and Glenn has Triple tech
