@8:19 that’s my favorite Westbrook dunk of all time. The velocity he had while being guarded by multiple defenders and the force of his dunk was insane. And he hit his face mask too. Prime Westbrook was once the best PG in the league.

Personally Rose is more finesse and Ja too young for this convo yet ... Raw athleticism and power - definitely Russ
@sammyslam14 ай бұрын
I think when you combine everything, it has to be Russ. The willingness to get into the paint and battle bigs for rebounds sets him apart in terms of athleticism and physicality. End to end D Rose was probably a tad bit faster and pure vertical Ja probably has more bounce, but when you combine it all with the rebounding prowess, i don't believe there has been a more athletic point guard than Russell Westbrook. I'm also going to give him a slight edge for longevity over other point guards, even after pretty nasty injuries to the lower extremites which would have ended most players careers earlier. I think what people don't take into context is that Russ has been taken off the ball a lot over the last 3 seasons by Coach Vogel, Coach Ham, and Coach Lue. Taking the ball out of his hands makes it appear as if he has lost a lot of speed, athleticism, power, and ability but if you just look at his productivity when he is on the ball and playing 30-34 mins per game, he is still around 18-22 pts per game, 8 rebs, and 8 asst....with slightly better efficiency(on avg 45-46 fg% and 34% from 3) Those are really good numbers for a guard his age. Also remember over the last 3 seasons he has been more of a #3, not a #1 or #2......so naturally he just isn't attacking as much or taking as many shots. I think the 2022/2023 playoffs showed that Russ is still extremely athletic and capable of producing at an all star level, given the opportunity. This was also being shown in the 1st four games to start 2023/2024 and in his lone start at Phoenix towards the end of 2023/2024(i can't remember if that start was before or after the hand surgery?....i believe it was after) I'm rooting for him in Denver! He and Jokic should make great teammates...
