GDT 2021 Episode G8: Jackpine River to Blueberry Lake

I was NOT looking forward to having to fight through the willows and bog to get back to the GDT route but progress needed to be made. Once on route, we criss-crossed our way down the valley, appreciating the views and becoming accustomed to river crossings and bogs. The sunshine was a game changer and moods lifted as we hit the junction and proceeded up to a gorgeous view of the impressive peaks to the north. We created the pass and worked our way down a beautiful valley past a baby blue stream to finally arrive at Blueberry Lake. We grabbed our cache of food and then set up camp at the horse camp at the end of the lake. One of the most enjoyable evenings on the GDT.
