It looks like you took a hammer to the inside of that refrigerator. No way do I believe that it just "fell apart" like that. Something definitely fishy here on your part.

Lead weight does not need to be refrigerated. But if you do, don’t chuck it in there from 20’ away.

My brother is in specialist interior engineer for Tesla and we’re looking at your video now believe it or not something happened to it that may not have happened to a regular use. He works with plastics every day. This is impossible to break like this. Specially, especially to shatter are you sure somebody’s not mad at you and hit it with a hammer or other instrument this is not normal. I have a GE refrigerator bought in about the same time and it looks nothing like this. It still works great. I might have a few scratches here and there for food containers but nothing like this. This is crazy. PS there’s a difference between breaking and shattering when engineers look at plastic to use an automobiles. They have to be very careful on the plastics they use on the interior they cannot use plastics at shatter in case of an accident. I’ll tell you this. I am an attorney myself. I’m retired now. I’ve had many consumer complaints if a manufacturer feels like they’re being blackmailed or being trashed on the Internet their legal department will tell them to ignore it. They will never settle with you if you never posted a video and done this in privacy they would’ve probably giving you 50% credit or prorated you a brand new refrigerator Just my 2 cents

Agreed. When someone can't spell simple words in the title to their video, I just stop paying much attention. Also, if you look at the damage on the inside of this guy's fridge you'll see that it looks like he took a hammer to it.

Thanks for your review as was considering a GE French Door, but thought the inside looked cheap at the models on floor at Home Depot. Currently have a Kenmore Elite that is over 20 years old and just had to recently replace the evaporator fan motor. Don't know what to get as know Samsung is junk and LG has problems as both companies have lawsuits against them. Your short video is a disaster for a product only 3 years old and sad that the manufacturer will not do anything. Your effort is greatly appreciated to help other people from being taken advantage of.

My GE refrigerator has been breaking bit by bit on the front of crisper plater where the humidity knobs area, I’d say it started about 4 years after it was purchased and it freezes towards the back. It’s about 12 years old so no parts available. I’m using epoxy glue to keep it together. Thank you for posting this, I’ll never recommend this brand to anyone.

i've had my current GE refrigerator for 22 years - no issues but a hairline crack in a drawer. it still works fine but thinking of replacement. the current GE i'm looking at has a 4.7 average rating out of a possible 5 stars - over 5500 reviews. maybe you got a bad refrigerator; but, that damage looks SO severe - i have to think something caused it. that can't just "fall apart" on it's own. seriously, how did all of those little pieces you show just "fall apart" with normal use? it looks like someone took a hammer to it.

@@nohandlehere55 - you're right. this is why i'm going to keep the old refrigerator - we can use it in the basement. the reason we've decided to replace it upstairs is simple - we'd rather have what we want than wait for the old one to go bad and have to take whatever is available at that time. we got the oven we wanted but had to wait 4 months for it to get to us! i don't want to be without a frig for even 2 days - so we're getting the new one (money isn't a problem for us) - and while we're getting what we want, we still won't get thenew frig till april 28! that's 10 WEEKS from time of order till delivery. and yea, i do NOT want WiFi and alexa/google assistant available for my frig or oven. thanks for the nice reply! edit - they did NOT have the frig on april 28 - we just now got it in july - and it's a VERY NICE FRIG.

@@d_e_a_n yep - and even if such extreme damage could occur (which it can't on it's own) - it doesn't invalidate t he THOUSANDS of great reviews against very few bad ones. i would never base my buying decisions on just one "bad" or "good" review. btw, we just got the frig (it got delayed until july) and it's very nice.

If their drawers can't handle bottled water or beverage cans they shouldn't used in a refrigerator. They could make their product better but they chose to go cheap and this is the result.

Hard to believe this review. That came from slamming drawers with a bunch of food/heavy products inside. Replacing a GE Profile I had for 15 years, with no problem except didn't replace filter like I should have and the icemaker is wonky and I no longer trust the water coming from it. Getting a new GE Profile.

yes they do. i got one in july - and it's a great frig. 1 year warranty (and you have the option for 5 additional years at 325$) however, warranty will not cover cosmetic damage. usually that sort of thing is due to consumer error -which is what i think has happened here. the damage this guy is showing just can't "happen" on it's own.
