We bought these brand new with our new construction house 3 1/2yrs ago. Over a year ago we started having problems whenever we would go to do laundry the machine would have no power, despite making sure there were no pooped fuses, or anything electrically wrong with the house. I would have to mess with the cord and the area that the lid that the latch does into. The panel would glitch, & I either wouldn’t be able to get any of the buttons to work, or the options for the temps, soil, etc would change repeatedly on their own and put on a light show basically. Now the power and start buttons don’t work. I have to repeatedly unplug it and plug it back in just for power, but then I still can’t get the start button to work. All I want to do is wash my laundry at home. Has anyone experienced this issue’s???

You basically read the settings. I can read I just can’t figure out why this dryer stops after 3 minutes if I have it set for 60 minutes. Took me 3 days to dry a comforter. I was hoping you would go over how to preset settings in dryer or why the buttons don’t so anything when I want to make one of the pre-settings work longer with time or higher temp to dry

@@aleciamister3412 you still having trouble with dryer? I have to get use to these newer type model of washer and dryers. Dryer has a damp sensor so now half of my clothes tin the middle of load are still a little damp. Energy saver my ass. The washers don’t even fill with enough water. I figured out with dryer I keep it on time dry cycle, you can choose how much time and temp you want. You may have to move nob to another setting and back to timed cycle but that’s what I’m doing.

We recently bought set of GE washer and dryer. Washer is fine, but I am not satisfied with dryer, because it doesn't dry properly and when I want to put second time dryer does like 2 min work and saying end. So I don't know what to do return or it should be like that?!

Hi @AdibaKosimi ! So, your clothes are not drying completely by the end of the dry cycle?? I remember when I got my dryer installed it was explained to me that when drying the clothes to turn off the eco dry button so that the clothes may dry completely. When the eco dry button is on the machine may adjust the time and temperature to save energy so I turn it off. Hope this helps!

The washer sometimes leaves our clothes drenched after a cycle and the dryer doesn't properly dry our clothes either unless you keep restarting the same cycle a few more times 😪 We didn't have any of these problems with our older, cheaper washer/dryer appliances lol

The washer did the same thing to me. When that happened I set the washer to Drain & Spin and set the Spin to Max.

Hi Summer Bush! The hose that I ordered for my Washer is Smart Choice - 6' Stainless-Steel Washing Machine Fill Hose (2-Pack). It says it fits most Brands but you want to make sure it’s compatible with your washer before buying. Hope this helps! ❤️

PS…To finish what I was typing above, on the front of the washer it says “Deep Fill” and “Quiet Wash”. I’ve already explained how useless the Deep Fill is. As to the quietness: that is an outright lie. There is NOTHING quiet about this machine. It bangs and clangs and gurgles, moans and groans in ways my old machines never did. This is the worst washing machine I’ve ever had. GEs USED to be the best, but no longer. Imagine a washer that stubbornly WON’T put in enough water to cover the clothes!

I always use the BULKY wash to fill it the way I want it to. The machine isn't designed to fill up like the older washers do hon. Also, I'm not sure why yours is so loud, but I don't have that problem

Great video, so we just took delivery of this set today. We were under the impression that the dryer had a steaming feature but i do not see a connection for the cold water line. Does your unit have Cooks water access?

Hey great video review ItsMiriamB...just doing some market research here but wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me where you put in the dirty laundry to wash but forget to move to the dryer bc you're busy or distracted and then the clothes get stinky or you have to wash it again wasting water, electricity and detergent??? LOL....just trying to come up with solutions for something like an "instant laundry" but not the combo type so pop it in and then like an hour later it's done washed and dried. Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated y'all! ;) Thx

I have an lg front loader is had a timer to set clothes to wash in up to 24 hours and can also set fresh care button so it shoots steam and keeps spinning until you take them out . Had it 4 years and just found out about what fresh clean means

Miriam, haven’t you gotten stressed when that machine doesn’t put enough water in to cover the clothes? I have that exact machine and I don’t like it at all. The Deep Fill works only sometimes. My husband and I have read the owner’s manual, and done everything as described, but almost every time I have to add gallons of water by hand, filling water bottles and dumping them in. This makes me livid! This “super” clothes washer controls you completely. You can’t add more water, you can’t stop water from filling if you want to, you can’t set a water level that you want, you find out that you don’t need all those sensors. Sometimes the water temperature changes from what you set it to. On the front of the machine it says “Deep Fill”; next to that, it says “Quiet Wash”

Just bought ours about 3 months ago. Total crap. I hate it. Never dries clothes, defaults every wash load to hot, spins itself into the wall, just stupid. I'll never own another GE product.

Everyone with these new fancy machines that have fancy lights and music chimes and such. These all have EXPENSIVE circuit boards inside to run all those USELESS features. Get a GOOD surge suppressor slash power strip. This includes THIS washer, refrigerators and so on. I bought a $3,000 Samsung refrigerator that now SITS ON THE CURB. Why, a $900 circuit board PLUS labor to fix a 1 year old machine. Pay attention to this tip people.

Fred, by "Spin Mechanism" I'm assuming you mean the "agitator" that's at the bottom of the wash basket. Your issue can be "fixed" by replacing that agitator, which is less than a 20 minute procedure. HOWEVER, what you need to know is that what's happening is that the metal sleeve (the "female" part) that's inside the plastic agitator, which the shaft ("male" part) mates up to, is made of CRAP, SUPER-SOFT METAL, and it STRIPS OUT EASILY! (We're on our FOUTH 'agitator), thus the shaft will be turning, but because the metal splines have "stripped out" the agitator won't move!! You also need to "shop around" as the first couple that we bought costs us around $50 each! With our most recent replacement, I found a parts house that charged around $20 each (plus shipping), so I ordered TWO, knowing how short of a life these things have! I SO wish we'd never bought this (imo) POC, as its been problem, after problem, after problem!
