When you asked at the start if it was possible, I had no doubts about your skills and that powerful Frankenproxxon you made. As usual on youtube, someone could complain about accuracy and blah blah, but for me (and being made on that machine) it fits "Hobby Standards" :) Well done! ingenuity wins

Thank you for sharing the video whith us. But the problem is you must make the arbor exactly corect whith minimum run out (till 0/01 mm hmmm iwill say okay) but whith more run out the First your cuting tool will damage because all tooths are not conect to work peace .the second you cant have one gear whith good surface . So because of this is very important that arbor be corect whith Minimum run out. This is my experience after 20 years abaut my job. Any way thank you. Best regards-sina Austria 🇦🇹

I have near 0.05-0.07 runout there, better not possible with this bearings and spindle I have… It’s a lot, but it is what it is. I mean with installed arbor. The cutter holder is made in 1 installation on a lathe with runout near 0.01. But runout that I have on a milling machine is terrible. Just a cheep parts from aliexpress made it. Will fight with it soon.

@@zhadlun for fixing run out how is in your mill spindle and your part needs alot of mathematic form and of course will be correct.but it’s alot of job. So best way to remove the error in your work peace is so: You must let alitl place in your arbor for fixing (1mm ) then conect your arbor to your milling and grind this 1mm that I’m talking about.then you have one correct arbor whith minimum run out. 0/05 mm is to much .for fly cuter is no problem and of course is better but for gear cutter wheel isnt because infact only one tooth are conect to work peace the ather Tooths not. Any way good luck 👍

@@zhadlun also Iwill say you cant find every tools that be exactly fix on your devices (lathe or milling or ather machin) so machinist always must fix it. Again good luck And thank you for sharing video. Best regards. Von Österreich 🇦🇹

The fixing of arbor not really an option at the moment. Because I'm using ER11 collet and every installation will have another result. All error I have comes at the moment from not very good (cheep) collet. I will start fight with runout from spindle and collets. Then When I will know that I have less than 0.01 error after reinstallation I could try to play with arbor itself.

@@zhadlun yes,you must let on collet and make it be finish when it’s connect to your mill.of course you must let some place for that (when you make it whith lathe)1 mm or 2 mm is enough.then after finishing whith your mill the first you have one correct arbor for your mill also you will see all tooths of your gear cutter are exactly conect to work peace and it cuts very very easy every metals.

I would remove the "MF70" part of the title. If the only original part of the mill is the Z axis it's no longer an MF70 :P

But it still has MF70 label on it :)))

the spindle / cutter holding arrangement in combination with the spindle speed is quite dangerous .. why do it on such a small machine made of aluminum ?
