There is such a big range in rods that could be used for pike. The one thing I do not like is and overly stiff rod especially for moving baits. Trend seems to be stiff rods with braid but I think people are missing way more fish this way. For certain lures I like a fluorocarbon main line as it allows a bit of stretch and forgiveness which can mean hooking up with more fish when fishing lures like spinnerbaits.

I hate short jerkbait rods. 8'4" is minimum for me, I'd ask for 9-10ft, so I can load them as I cast. On my 15-60g rod I use 0.5-0.6mm fluro. On my baitcaster I use 0.7mm. Some go up to 1.0mm, in my opinion it looks and feels too way thick.

I have a cheapest line, rod, reel and jerkbait i could find nad i never had problems with Pikes. I never got anything bigger than 10kg anyway. It all cost me like 100 euros tops.

As someone New to casting/spinn(in Norway we call baitcaster rods spinn rods dont get on my case) rods wtf does the casting weights mean it gives a max but what is the min then? 110gr is alot of weight nothing he is using on it seems close to that, can i cast lets say a 25g from that thing or is that too small this info is so hard to find online arghhh

Casting weight means appropriate lure weight for that rod. If rod states 110g, it means "up to 110gr" lures, and generally works best on range of 60-100gr. For example, i have 20-75g 8 feet rod and up to 150gr 8.3 feet rod. First works best with lures around ~50g, but can still cast 85g lures too when casted carefully. For second heaviest i've casted is 100gr, but i think it would work best for lures around 120gr. If you're looking for allround first pike rod, i'd take something like 20-80g 8 feet, or 20-60 depending how heavy lures you fish with. Hope this helps, tight lines.
