For those who are interested, Laron Thomas shared email from Niagara that gave the impression they had reached out to other steel manufacturers to fill their orders and gave them the exact ingredients make up, so it sounds like scarcity of their products will be minimal.

Bob from Niagra reached out directly too. I think the real lag will be if/when Crucible goes under because the proprietary steels will have to stay with the new buyers and it will take time for them to dial it in.

That's really cool about the SafariLand dealio. I have those quick mounts on my bedside, in the jeep, and on my kit. It's such a great system for multipurpose kits. Congrats on that.

Still prefer 3V personally but with Crucible going under I don't know how the supply will be after next year which sucks. There's been some murmurings about who's taking what from them in the event of a shutdown but nothing concrete. I'd avoid a titanium striker, the most common alloy used is typically too soft for striking and will get jacked up. Id definitely ditch VG10 on the production run given the price point. Cruwear would be perfect or something of that nature for $250-270. Did well in the Adamas folder.
