Kind of amazed Jamie is using sterlings, I'm sure he could afford a 100% American made musicman
@MusicByTay3 жыл бұрын
It’s a Music Man sterling, not a sterling by music man. Different from their electric guitars where sterling is their cheaper off brand made in Korea and Indonesia. For bass sterling is the model (like majesty would be for their guitars) These are $2000+ basses made in San Luis Obispo California
@Cxrinae3 жыл бұрын
@@MusicByTay Ahh, had no idea that was the case as I'm a guitarist haha.
@Trey_Johnson112 жыл бұрын
Yea the Sterlings can be very confusing. You have SUB by Sterling which is the cheapest, Sterling by Music Man which is around $900. And then you have Music Man Sterling which is American Made and on the same level and craftsmanship as the Stingray Models

I respect it whole heartedly! Heads and cabs will always be valid, but, there’s so much simplicity in keeping the amps at home and just profiling em’ all to take on the road. It’s doing wonders for live sound in my opinion
@edima3 жыл бұрын
@@cloneproductions2315 gotta absolutely agree with you. I love the sound of my tube amps, but having something like an axe fx or a Kemper to profile that sound and carry it around for live shows just saves so much space and time. I'd never trade a real Amp sound though for a recordinbf or studio setting.

I hate how everyone uses kempers in the studio now. I get it for a at home guy that wants a huge variety in tones, and I understand it for live shows and touring. But a big band like that really should use amps in the studio. Metal albums in general have lowered in sound quality since kempers have become mainstream.

oggel33t no i swear i didnt know what they were using before,but i knew it was not a tube amp just go listen to some older songs and ull notice the huge difference
@oggel33t9 жыл бұрын
That has got way more to do with the mixing and mastering of the tracks than it being a Kemper or not, since the sound saved in the Kemper is identical to the one they would get if they would have just pressed record, since the process is exactly the same. You just ad the Kemper to recall the sound from the recording session. If you understand what I mean? :)
@KHALID479 жыл бұрын
yeah the mixing is bad aswell,i saw some new live shows they used the same profile as they did for the recording and it sounded bad check it live at kingston
@alvarg9 жыл бұрын
+khalid filali probably a mixing issue and same with the live show just poorly setup not trying to defend kempers but yeah many artists are using them and i've heard some really good things and bad things personally i use a 6505 head sure you can get issues with them but if your a major band with backups i don't see what the problem is, kemper seems more suited to bands who can't afford to keep replacing heads and fixing gear all the time.
