Maybe because there's way less gear than in Tosin's segment since his into pedals now and Javier stays with Axe Fx and there isn't a lot to say about it unless he explains his presets which would e way too long. However, it felt like it was too fast.

Andrew Sutton he didn’t really get robbed so Much as it seems he just didn’t talk about it much. From what I’ve seen he’s kinda accepted that he’s “tosin abasis second guitar player” despite the fact that he’s amazing. Also with an ax effects, unless he went into every single tone he has, it’s really hard to go further into. With tosin, he uses everything in different combinations, so he can just say the puzzle pieces without having to go into every perturbation that he likes.

Every time I get depressed about the state of modern rock/metal...hell music in general, I just think about guys like Tosin and it gives me hope. Real music, that is the pursuit of creating something for the purpose of resonating with other people isn't completly dead yet. And actually perfecting the art with years and years of practice all for the end goal of writing something that excite you to hear and know you wrote/played it. Your not a musician if your just mashing together samples. Sure if your playing drums or guitar with samples over it then that's real music and just another creative tool but man music is not what it used to be. But we have Animals as leaders. I guess it's more about quality then quantity. And I still find bands I like. I was late to the party and just discovered sunny day real estate which was awesome and tool finally put out their new record. Even new songwriters with real talent still exist like Phoebe Bridgers. Anyways, love these videos. I started playing guitar in the 90s after hearing Chuck Berry as a 6 year old in 96 and finding my calling(my dad was much older then most fathers and always played the classics on the weekends or at night). Then i learned to play by playing Nirvana(which taught me that if you really develop your artistic ideas you can make something great out of minimal skill but it still takes hard work) and when that got too easy I played increasingly more difficult songs over the years then started focusing on theory. I feel like I just read about theory for 10 years before it all started clicking, lol teaching yourself isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes. I feel like kids don't have those bands to motivate them these days which will really hurt music in the future. But at least they have all the old stuff.

The neck is a completely flat plane of milled aluminum, it feels fucking bonkers. There's like a sensory illusion that it feels concave because of the fretboard radius but it's actually flat. It's incredibly weird to play but pretty comfy actually.
@synchromesh5 жыл бұрын
Here's some comments Rick Toone made about the Blur guitar back in 2012: "Nick - Exoskeleton neck on Blur is completely flat on the back. There is a slight compound radius (12" to 16") to the fretboard. To your hand this neck feels slender...invisible...almost like fretting your iPhone. "The overall thickness of the neck is a total of about 5/8" including: aircraft aluminum, fretboard, frets, AND strings. Consistent across the full width. "Very thin. "Zero fret necks (like Blur) perform just like a traditional guitar. Intonation is the same as a conventional guitar. This design is the best choice for Tosin because it allows the area around the extended range frets to be minimalist so he can work both sets of frets simultaneously. "Also, he is doing more single note runs than chord work. "In contrast, the intonation adjustable nut provides piano-like clarity to chords. The ability to dial in intonation from both ends of the string is no small thing. Any guitarist who is heavily playing chords will love the stunning separation of the intervals - you can listen deeply into the mathematical ratios between pitches." (web.archive.org/web/20150410105505/www.ricktoone.com/2012/02/blur-8-string-extended-range-guitar.html?cid=6a00e39826b28988330163015e7655970d#comment-6a00e39826b28988330163015e7655970d) It can't be that bad or he wouldn't still be touring with it after seven years...
