Hey guys, this is quite a long video - I started working on a small google spreadsheet to list stats and possible sub-stat rolls, I find it helps with theorycrafting to know what's possible. EDIT: I've set the sheet to private now as it's being used for some bits I'll share in future, but currently still wip I realised I skimmed straight over beginners and early-game players, apologies if I excluded you. The advice within mid-game can also be applied to new players, though generally you will progress to legendary gear fairly fast and the stats provided by rare and epic gear is low enough to a point that makes it difficult to build something particular. If you're new to the game, buy Epic gear from the shop and upgrade it to +8 as mentioned in the video. Focus purely on ATK% gear for DPS, HP% for tanks and Healing Effect for Healers. On the weapon/armour slots on the left be sure to pick-up the set bonuses for either 10% ATK, 15% DEF or 10% Healing Effect.

Happy to hear it! Just a heads-up, this guide is a bit outdated as of recent patches. It's now much easier to hit 100% CR (with Myth gear mostly) as you can get Crit Rate% sub-stats on the left-side gear now as well. But the general principles are exactly the same. Atk% all the way until you can get 90-100% CR, then balance bonus atk% with cdmg% 1:1 for max damage

Thanks! As far as I'm aware, not from Gear. Some heroes have it in their abilties and some others get it from awakening bonuses

I'm planning to make a table at some point and group heroes by stat/gear priority. Most heroes are built the same based on being DPS/HEALER/TANK - very few deviate from that. So I'll group in that way and have subgroups for special heroes, but most follow the same :) So I guess the answer is yes, but it'll be quite broad

​@@mmoooo1111 I would focus on stats: 100CR%, ATK:CDMG split 1:1. When you reach your stat goals considering which set to use, because Cerb is a bit weird I would probably not use the Curse set. Styx might be better for him as it's more consistent but sets are less important than stats generally anyhow

im farming at stage 18 gr1for 3 days.. where are the ancient mythic gears?????? i couldn't claim even one piece of ancient mythic gear....this is really weird

Thank you for the video! I'm a bit confused though because I see only rings and amulets in my gear raid drop list but in your video it shows helmets and other armor pieces. How those get unlocked? I just started to play a month ago and the vid is 10 months old so I wonder how much they changed? Also it looks like they nerfed night terror set since? xD

So is healing effect pointless on damage or tank? I assume it would work only if the DPS or Tank has self healing ability? It will enhance that?

Yup correct - healing effect will only benefit heroes that have healing, either self-healing or healing of allies. It does not effect healing received.

If the main stat is flat attack damage and it has a secondary attack percent is that ok too? or is the sub stat far inferior to the main stat being attack percent?

Nope, not in my opinion. I have another video on Flat stats I'd recommend checking out - it shows the maths breakdowns on why atk% is almost always better

Its worth focusing on Crit Damage once you hit 66% crit chance already no need for 80-90% as on avg you will do more dmg

You sure flat stats with good subs aren't better early game when you're units have low stats?? Also aoe damage dealers like say greed, if he has say 70% crit is it calculated on his aoe or each enemy hit?

I made an alt account recently to collect some data on Storyline. I found that Flat stats are better when you're using Purple gear - the main stat is capped so it can't go too high and you can get sub-stats with higher values than the main. For myth/red gear, %s all the way. For AoE attacks that's a good question, I tend to run all my dps at 100% CR so I don't know, but I will test this in future! I'm planning to do an update to this video in the next month, I'm just waiting to see if another gear change comes as we're expecting another content patch soon

Mages can crit. It is worth for your dps (archer, mage, and fighter) to have crit damage as long as you can have 80-90% crit chance at least

Increases the rage you gain when dealing/taking damage - it scales badly imo

Bit of a late reply but the way the damage calculation works in wor, defence gives diminishing returns while hp doesnt. Not to mention defence is only for physical damage not magic damage. So to get the most effective hp on your tanks you want to prioritise hp. You can get enough defence from just substats anyways. Also putting 1 defence main on a tank and 2 hp instead of just 3 hp isnt going to completely brick them, so there’s some leeway there.

Most do, but not all - a few healers such as Vortex and Midan focus on HP as their main healing stat. Though the formula has changed recently and includes the target's max HP a bit as well.

I just discovered it myself. If you look at the character's heal skills, the word "Heal" will be underlined. You can click on it, and it'll tell you what the heal is based on. My early healers say, "Restores HP based on targets max HP and the heros ATK"

I'm planning to do an updated Gear Guide at some point as there have been some updates, especially regarding making attack speed easier to get. In short, attack speed has diminishing returns when it is stacked - so the initial increases are more valuable than the later ones. Getting around 50-100 attack speed is ideal, stacking beyond that incurs less benefit. I haven't tested exactly how good the gain is vs atk/cdmg, but I would definitely say prioritise atk/cdmg. Atk spd as a primary stat doesn't seem to be ideal either, perhaps for someone like SItnalta who is there for control and slows on autos, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it currently

@@MaBucket not sure if this has been pointed out. But, the same reason you hit like a wet noodle if you don't have very high attack.. allows you to use the same mechanic defensively. On a same boss 5660 armor gives me 2628 damage, but 7596 armor gives me 571 damage. 400% damage reduction. NOT 5%.. not 10%, not 20% (which would be big).. but 400%!!!!

Crit dmg is EQUALLY as important for DPS as crit chance, that's a pure math. Crit damage = chance * dmg.

Well no it's not simple math, If you only crit chance 50% of the time the crit dmg is wasted 50% of the time. Better to have lower crit dmg and more crits often.
