I feel like the articulated shank thing is a deal breaker, the wire of even the 6mm shanks are thicker than my size 22 dry fly hooks, why won't it hold correctly?

I will need to win the lottery to be able to afford this vise. It is beautiful, but it will not make me a better tyer.
