Just a couple of things from a mom who has potty trained two children be careful with flushable wipes, they sometimes clog up septic tanks, I know they are spoused to be safe and break down like tp but they don't always. The foldable seats are great for public toilets to make them the right size for little butts but be sure to carefully help your child on and off sometimes the seams where it folds can pinch little butts

We love the baby Bjorn potties! Also, we have a robust assortment of potty books. Some additional great ones are "Too Big for Diapers" featuring Ernie, and "Where's the Poop?" which is also a lift the flap book. Very cute video!

Not gonna lie, when we bought our current home the previous owners had installed a seat like Elle described. Its a life saver! Also, i have a diaper sprayer (for cloth diapers) installed on my toilet. When my son still had poop accidents in his underwear it was a huge lifesaver on the mess. Totally worth the investment! Potty watch is actually awesome too if your kiddo thrives on schedules

I will say, the IKEA step stool holds well!! My family has had one for longer than I can remember( maybe 7 years). It is still standing and works great! All of my siblings and I have used it! Great for having little ones stand on to fix hair!!❤️

We have the Piddle Pad. It has SAVED ME on so many occasions. You try to pull off a car set cover, clean it and get it back on with out breaking a sweat!

Advice from a childcare worker who helps toilet train a lot of kids a year. Do not use a potty if you can help it. Get an insert/step for your toilet. They can easily go straight to using the toilet with the insert and step. Because otherwise you just have to re train them to use the toilet it. It just makes it take longer for you. Children can become scared of the sound of pee/poo hitting the water in the toilet and you are better off just letting them get used to it from the start otherwise you can have them backslide a lot. Also even before your child is ready to toilet train buy the insert and step and get them to sit on the toilet even if it’s just for a couple of seconds at first. This helps them get used to sitting on the toilet.

Tip! When you go to Disney land/world or any other place where bathrooms are very limited bring pull-ups so if accidents do happen you are prepared

Make sure your kid is wearing the pull-ups when the accident happens and make sure to try to make it to a bathroom!

Can I just point out that 'flushable' wipes aren't really flushable? They don't break down and cause clogs in the sewage systems that can cost thousands to clear. If you want to use wet toilet wipes, make your own- there's plenty of tutorials online!

Love the video but ‘flushable’ wipes ARE NOT actually flushable. They cost cities thousands of dollars so PLEASE DO NOT flush wipes down the toilet!!

As mentioned before the wipes would clog that up, but also septic tanks are an additional investment that most people who live in cities and are connected to sewage systems wouldn't get. It is easier to just stop flushing things that you can't actually flush then to install new machinery and then ruin that machinery flushing something that isn't biodegradable.

Potty training is actually one of those things that I built up in my head, read books on (!), scheduled in a time when we could be at home for days and bought all the gear but the best thing I could have done is wait until my daughter was ready to potty train. By the time we got to potty training she was nearly 3.5 and most of her peers were long since potty trained. However, we managed to pretty much crack it in a couple of days (although lets be real my poor carpets did see a lot of things in those 2 days). So best advice would be wait until your child is ready even if they are the last in their friendship group to potty train! The only items we've really used was pants (obviously), a potty and some stickers/chocolate buttons which she got for the first week or so if she used the potty or tried to. Bought a portable potty but only used it a couple of times it's just as easy to go to a public toilet and hold them over it

We used and loved the potty watch. I think it has negative reviews because it breaks easily. So we just ordered a new one for each kid that was potty training, I think we first got it with the Signing Time Potty Time DVD by Rachel Coleman Two Little Hands Productions. My kids still sing those songs and motion the signs.

Hi Lizzy & Elle! I have been struggling potty training my daughter. She’s 3 now and still not trained. I have bought a lot of products and use so many techniques that family and friends recommend but didn’t work. She just won’t do it and hold it in that cause her to constipation every time. Yes Truly the tummy massage potty training method I will help u potty train your child daughter ok . For her constipation try a pedialax enema or a pedialax suppository glycerin daily rectally or a cotton swab with Vaseline petroleum jelly rectally daily or a children's enema by fleet
