I’ve switched my outdoor Research Helium Rain Jacket to a Black Diamond Stormline last year and wished I did it sooner.

Knifes and cutting implements - I see a swiss army on your list and I know you mentioned a Kershaw. I like swiss army but I 'prefer' a fixed blade or at least a locking blade. Neck knives are a good option and you can get a good camp knife for less than $40 and @ 2-3 oz. Fire starter - Hexamine

Also have a quality fixed blade in a survival situation can literally save your life. You can make almost everything you need to stay alive with a good fixed blade. Some are very light (3-4oz) but still strong
