Is the 40k split with the other pilot? Also do you have to pay for the jet or is it someone else’s? Does the customer pay for fuel? In other words what is the actual profit.

Not sure what wheels you were discussing but if it was on the nose wheels it’s basically like a boot. Some service centers and operators will install them manly for security purposes (TSA thing) when parked on the ramp. They also work well from stopping operator’s from taking there A/C without satisfying there bill if it just came out of maintenance.

I guess you are flying under Part 135 or maybe Part 91 in an airplane requiring two qualified pilots yet one of the pilots at a control station is watching a video on his phone? I’m not sure FAA would approve unless the airplane is certified for single pilot ops.
@gear_down
@gear_down 8 ай бұрын
You can do whatever you want in non critical phases of flight. Some read, some listen to ebooks, some watch Netflix etc…
8 ай бұрын
CFR 135.144 may apply here. Maybe your company has different rules. I flew Part 121 and I guarantee no FAA inspector riding the cockpit jumpseat would allow any pilot sitting at the controls of a two person cockpit to watch videos on his personal phone while in flight. Not always, but usually, Part 135 rules mirror Part 121 when it involves cockpit duties and CRM. In the interest of safety, both pilots should be 100% attentive while flying the airplane.
