Thank you very much for the detail replacement procedure. I used hair dryer to heat up the back cover. Once the cover surface feel little bit hot, I ply the cover corner with my finger nail quite to open up little bit, then insert the hard plastic to carefully slided along the edges around and managed to open the cover, surprising easier than I thought. I then took out the screws but only 1st 4 or 5 screws, not 10, just enough so that I can lift up the black metal a bit and take out the small piece of metal (tightened by the 1st and 2nd screws) covering the battery and finger sensor connectors. And the replaced the battery. Thank you again.

You should watch some of the other videos for this, they only remove TWO screws and it is quicker and easier

Hi great video!!! I have a little question that i hope you could answer. I've been reseraching for hours. My p30 lite glass back has shattered, and i wanted to replace it. But i have seen that in most of the tutorials the take the sim card trays off before replacing it. Does that affect the process? Mine has been stuck for months because i got a pin really stuck in it. (almost sealed tight) If i go to a phone repair shop would they be able to replace the back and free the sim tray hole? (without any complications and without being too expensive) How would you guys approach this?

It is not necessary for this model.But for some models you have to.But as a good practise removing is better. They should able to do it easily.they need to take out the logic board and free the sim tray hole. But if you have damaged the sim hole, then you might need to replace the frame or holder. Important question, is it safe to cut the tail of the old lituum battery? I'm replacing my battery but the screw is already stripped, so I plan to forcely remove the metal thingy above the connector of battery. Then while forcing to remove the metal thingy I see some sparks even if the phone is off, so I plan to remove the battery power by cutting the tail.

It is not safe to do such a thing if you don’t know what you are doing exactly. My advice is to seek a technician
