It appears you're using and leaving way too much oil on that firearm. Also, what's the reason you wrap your brush with a cleaning patch? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the brush? You ought to look into getting and using a bore snake. Makes cleaning the inside of the barrel easier, plus you can wash them after numerous uses.

You don't have to remove the striker first in order to take down the slide. Remove the back plate first, then release the slide. The striker will fall off itself.

I just bought one of these and the Slide Plate isn't coming out as easy as you make it seem in this video. Any tips on getting it out?

A month late but it gets easier over time. Idk if you're experienced with handguns or not but they're all tight in one form or another straight from the factory.

I had the same problem until...I bought the MCarbo 3 spring kit, one of which is the striker spring. Change that to the MCarbo spring, and you'll have no issues.
