Now this, THIS is THE Gears of War. The best chapter of the series and the best competitive multiplayer of all times. I spent countless hours paying this game with my friends (sometimes we still do). The graphic is still amazing, the mood and the feeling of movement/shooting are top notch. God, I love GoW2.

If the net code was better i would agree with you, i have so many memories of GoW 1 but 2 is kinda meh i couldnt even play multiplayer at launch due to not so great internet. If they added dedicated servers it would be amazing.

The nostalgia of everyone being in a team on Gears 2, when MILKSHAKES was the best player, and pubstomping was hella competitive. Toxic pickups/scrims were always the best lmao, everyone humping the last kid down when you're about to 5-0 a team on execution, and then everyone chainsawing the last downed kid after 30 seconds of humping, the days were glorious. I believe the graphics look much better in Gears of War 2 because of the simpler color palette (which altogether looks way better). The mix of light and dark browns, grays, and reds make the palette of the game overall come together much better, simulating better graphics. I'm hoping they can actually remaster the game as they should have a long ass time ago, I would like to get some smooth gameplay on it.

Therons take higher damage in the old Gears games because they don't have a reduced damage multiplier for their limbs. Damage can also be dealt to their skirt too, and they breathe super loud when roadie running. Just a bad character overall. RAAM too

When it comes to graphics, I'm gonna give it to Gears 5. It's clearly better. But Gears 2 has the better attention to detail. Walls chipping off as you shoot them, blood trails on the wall when shot, props flying or destroyed when shot, etc.

You can tell your host if you can’t melee once the round is over just before it goes to the scoreboard. I put so many hours into this game and uploaded vids too. More GOW 2 please

It’s Backwards Compatible, which means you can download and play it on next Gen and even upscale the fps on the Series X to 60frames

never liked gears 2 multiplayer, personally think its overrated. I bought it on launch and was super disappointed on how some of the weapons felt. I do think it has a lot of really good maps though

Youre getting bodied because most people in the lobby are from mexico so the game favors their connection. The game feels different with american connection. Also you gotta hard aim the gnasher it does monster damage when you do
