I have no idea why though as you can see the dragon born sprint in the trailer and even if you didn't watch the trailer surely they watch some Skyrim youtube videos and see someone sprinting? Apparently many many people missed that though.

That last out of bounds brought back some memories, I could remember glitching out doing as in 14:08; if you had another player join up in splitscreen, more parts of the map would load, and if they leave, it would then deload.

As someone who's done some of these glitches in this video, I love seeing the game being broken in various ways , excellent video ! -- If you walk towards the back of the brumaks legs , you can actually start floating on top of the brumak, sorta like sky walking ? On the Bridge and Stairs section.

At the end of Facility section you go up a ladder onto some kind of gate, and you end up basically where you started. I just learned that If you'd somehow go up that gate after getting out of centaur, you get a Checkpoint that you normally get after getting up a ladder. I believe there should be a way to roll up that gate. Imagine saving off like 20-30 minutes there. Also, the razorhail wont spawn then, so you can just run past all the enemies, kill off reavers and you end the section up.

its crazy that i didnt know the full barge skip but before i even played games online or even cared to look up OOB glitches this was the 1st one that i discovered as a kid and it setup my love for finding OOBs. i remember split screen playing with my cousin and doing it and rememebered getting the funniest reaction and i will forever love that glitch.

Brought back some memories just seeing barrier breaking mentioned. I well remember doing the invisibility glitch on Jacinto and Hail, which yeah wasn’t too fun for the other team. My favourite multiplayer memories was when players on the other team would glitch out, but I would glitch out to the same spot and kill them. Great feeling to say the least. Jacinto in particular was tricky, as your actual body would move and fall outside the map while being invisible, if you rolled the same way too many times

i remember playing this game at 5am at a friends house. i was on the worm lvl and i told myself ill find a Out of bounds glitch. at some point i just walked towards a wall of the worm and went right through like they forgot about collision.i never found a good reason to do so other than laughs like how do you forget to fix that

I did the elevator skip perfectly fine at 9:24, but either the mortar doesnt spawn or you're not showing where it does, because I can't find it anywhere after jumping down, so i have no choice but to play this whole segment normally Love everything else though, I did the spiral staircase skip and managed to skip the entire fight down the staircase

I had done a Hardcore run the other day and I remember it spawning by the lever Edit: yeah, the mortar spawn is indeed tied to difficulty. Did a Hardcore run just yesterday and pulled it off no problem as the mortar spawned this time around. Thanks for the video Flurby!

Kinda funny i started running Road to Ruin Stealth like 2 months ago when my pc was broke, i developed a last battle strat that was a bit faster than the current one(with *good rng* you can kill all the tickers and the kantus with 2 nades, then use 2 nades from grenadier you kill on last group of enemies and get all of em with just 2), and i got like a 908 or somethin a few runs in. Been meaning to go back and look more into the full run and then this vid pops up. (also for side note durin the roadie run-roll comparisons, id probs take out the anime lines in future videos, might be a lil too much on screen to tell the clear difference for newer audiences) I kinda yapped a lil bit, but thought the coincidence was a lil funny. Great Vid, cool to see some good gears content

This is sick, I've always been more of a gears guy than a halo guy, but I decided to speedrun halo games instead because I thought it had more interesting exploits. It looks like Gears also has a lot of fun stuff to try even in single player, I thought it would have been limited to co-op lag-based glitches. If they ever release a pc version of this game I'll definitely learn a lot of this stuff!

I've personally never been a fan of glitches and such, as fun as some are. When it comes to speedruns I literally just run through everything lol. The point in the campaign where you are looking for the lift to go down and get ambushed by guards in the windows, you can just walk right by it. I somehow never knew that until I replayed with someone and was aimlessly wondering around looking at stuff they said hey you just skipped the ambush. 😂

Bro i literally bought an xbox 360 2 weeks ago to play online co-op with myself. I started barrier breaking with the chainsaw jam desync glitch used in multiplayer. I found alot of cool stuff out of bounds. You can make some pretty easy skips You can rejion the other party when you go down a split trail. If you simply chainsaw jam out of the map in a spot with no collision behind it, you will fall through the map and spawned back with the other player. However this will most likely soft lock you. You can actually walk stright up to the brumak when esscorting dizzy through the motor teams. If you chainsaw break on one of the balconies.

@@Flurby I'm planning on recording my findings. I'll probably post some stuff just for archival purposes. I have to get a capture card or something to record what i find, as the chainsaw desync is only reliable on an actual xbox 360. I've done this with 2 modern xbox's and it is almost impossible. However the 360 connects to 3G network and the xbox can connect to modern routers just fine. This the better setup to do this than having 2 xbox 360s on the same network.

With how popular the glitching scene was for this game, I honestly doubt it. All known methods of generalized barrier breaking need online lag. It's possible we're talking about different things. If you have a video or even a good text description about what you might have found then that would be very valuable. If it's just like "jump through this specific wall with a Boomshield", I wouldn't call that a barrier breaker.

@@Flurby no it used the lancer chainsaw and reload cancel animation glitch which then allowed the chainsaw to be used whilst in cover then u could use it to get ontop of covers then u could rev the chainsaw jump off a cover let go of the chainsaw then roll backwards and go through any wall / barrier ie the name barrier breaker i used to be part of a glitching crew back on gears 2 called biological glitchers thats when i found the glitch

Quick question bot sure if you covered it in this vid yet but, one of the main and noticeable improvements was when the characters get into combat, they noticeablely run faster automatically like the animations speed up. Example your roadie run is faster than the non combat roadie run, is there any comparisons or techniques used for this?

I don't think it's actually combat, but certain actions cause the faster animation after, like dodge rolling or up A-ing from a corner. We of course try to have the best movement that we can, but most of the time the fastest thing is just a straight line with rolls. There's not really enough useful terrain to do anything super fancy in most cases. Campaign maps aren't built like multiplayer
