I know that my theory about them being creations of Samson is incorrect, but I also said that I thought the sires were the original locust that were mutated people. That they got mutated due to imulsion exposure. This is actually true and I made a later video explaining the true origin of the locust when I covered the rise of raam comics. This video is old and outdated so don't take it too seriously.

Ok you have this partially correct. In Gears of War 2 if you collect all of the collectables during the mission where Marcus and Dom are going through the New Hope Research Facility, a lot of the story and background is given. Niles Samson didn't create the sires as part of some mad science experiment. He was a doctor at the facility who was researching strange cases of humans who were suffering from imulsion related sicknesses like rust lung. It would turn them violent and crazy and several of the staff members left for fear of their own safety. The sires were the mutated children of the original patients at the facility. That's why Niles referred to them as children. This all took place at the beginning of the pendulum wars. The chairman at that time found out what was going on at the facility and shut it down. Niles and a few other scientists took the sires to Mt. Quadar to live and continue their research. The modern day locust were the descendants of the sires. And Queen Myrrah was the descendant of the scientists. That's why the locust stronghold and capital city of nexus are at the mountain. Epic just didn't do a very good job at expressing these details. They put them in the collectables and if you read them that's what you get. They cared less about an in depth story and focused more on fun game play instead :P

According to Epic games, the sires pre-date the Locust. The only conclusion I can come to is that the Locust, or at least the humanoid locust(drones, grenadier, boomer etc.), are in fact a product of humanity. Well humans exposed to imulsion. The Locust are bipedal with the same basic anatomy as humans. More to the point they speak English, and their architecture is in tune with human gothic architecture. Their firearms are based on human technology. Also, while Sera isn't Earth, I think it's safe to assume the evolutionary chain of Serans is the same ours. Meaning that if the Locust aren't human, humanity would've lived on Sera for millions of years without noticing a humanoid race living just below Sera's crust... Seems unlikely.

The locust aren't a complete different species, rather they're descendants of humans. The story starts on the discovery of ilmusion and how it was pretty much gold for the humans. Therefore many humans especially miners worked at close proximity with ilmusion, making them infected. The infected humans were then taken to the new hope facility in hopes for treatment, but of course that didn't happen. As a final and extreme resort, the humans forced the infected humans into the hollow where they would be shunned and ignore by the society that is mankind. The queen, who is purely human was a descendant of the scientist. She is not half locust and this is evident in gears 3 where she is still standing after Adam's bomb. Anyways the queen saw this exile and mistreatment and felt bad for the infected humans and developed a hatred for mankind. Therefore she moved with the infected humans and eventually they became the monsters that are now known as locust.

Something worth knowing is that it has been confirmed that primitive humans had lived on Sera 5000 years before E-Day. Also, the Silver Age and Gorasnaya happened 980 years before E-Day. So, yeah. Humans are native to Sera. I have heard a theory that Sera is actually Earth far into the future, but I don't know why Earth would have 26 hour days and two moons. So...I guess it just assumes humans evolved on a completely different planet/reality.

For me is more logical that Neil's create the Sires and then the supposed children's sent to the underground evolved to the Locust and make a home in the ground and then go upstairs of Mount Kadar and kill all the scientists. My theory is that locust lived on earth longer than human have. When they found out that creatures are taking over the surface they tried to take it back. Locust are completely different from humans. Some person said that when people became sick with emulsion they became locust. I don't agree because in gears of war 3, people who were effected with emulsion basically turned into zombies.

No. Myrrah was a researcher with Niles, but he saw them as test subjects and basically fucked up humans. however she saw them as stronger more capable beings than humans and was forced to take all of them underground because Niles died and there was no resources for the locust, they would have been killed/set upon panic if they went into cities.

Considering how war torn the surface was he was aiming to create something that could live on a devastated and would work together through a insect like colony system. so far the locus already exist for a while,until alittle more recent when some of the locus United under one rule to fight human and live above ground.they waited for them to attack each other until they came out and attack E day. lambet are a type of locus ,however they see them self better than locus so they attacked them to control.( Gears of War 2 I think) the sire maybe were just a bi product of human and locus DNA.

According to the Wiki, Samsen experimented on the Sires, who were mutant humans from the imulsion exposure. They were miners exposed to imulsion and were treated by Samsen to find a cure. That's why he felt that they were his children--he felt responsible for their lives. The Sire children were taken to Mt. Kadar, where Myrrah grew with the others to be the queen of the now developed new Locust species. So Myrrah is over 84 years old, since she was at least born before the Pendulum Wars

The only thing I don't get about the whole "Imulsion turned humans into Sires and Sires gave birth to the Locust" is why wouldn't Imulsion infected humans just become Lambent Humans like the ones found in GoW3? And if a Locust is basically a human mutated by Imulsion then shouldn't the Locust already _be_ Lambent? They should either already be Lambent or be completely immune to it........as it is, we have a species that is created by Lambency that can be infected by even _more_ Lambency....that doesn't make any sense to me. Also, if being around Imulsion leads to Rustlung, and Rustlung is the first stage of Lambency, then shouldn't humans have been going Lambent for decades as soon as they started mining Imulsion? But instead we have this lore that says humans started mining imulsion, the miners got infected by it, went 'Lambent' and became _Sires_ instead of the 'Lambent Humans' we see in GoW3, those Sires were the first _Locust_, meaning the Locust have Imulsion in every cell in their body but for some reason aren't Lambent, these Locust then start getting infected with the very thing that's already inside their cells turning them into 'Lambent Locust', and then, for some inexplicable reason, right about this time humans start going Lambent after being infected by Imulsion, and this time instead of becoming Sires they become the yellow 'Lambent Humans'. Doesn't make any fucking sense. The only way I can even begin to make sense of it, is it has to be _pure_ Imulsion that turns a creature into a 'Lambent' creature. That the Imulsion humans use as fuel is something processed and refined into something less potent, and that it is this processed form of Imulsion that leads to Rustlung. The CoG put together New Hope to secretly find a cure to Rustlung, or to make human beings immune to it. The results of the New Hope scientists' experiments on making immune humans was the Sires - which are obviously a fucked up and completely impractical 'solution' that no one in their right mind would consider - but Niles wasn't in his right mind, he was nuts. Myrrah is likely the girl who reacted differently to treatment, and is therefore the first successful experiment in producing a human with immunity to Lambent infection - Myrrah survives the A. Fenix countermeasure so that does fit. What I still don't get is why the Locust are so different from the Sires. The Sires also fight the Locust when they show up at New Hope, so there is a clear difference between the two.

For the Locust, the Lambent hasn't taken form until late of the Pendulum Wars. You could be right that pure Imulsion is what hastens the infection, and that refined Imulsion is what causes Rustlung.

Well i see what your saying about the possible facts that could be what these Locust are. But I think we know well enough what we see how the COG are and what they believe about the Locust. I think it's time they make a game or books about certain Locust and I don't mean like a Grenadier but more like a higher class like Raam where it talks about what they went through and how they saw and heard about the Cog. And this can be a good idea because this can allow Locust fans who like the Locust more than the Cog gain knowledge. The makers of Gears can show us hidden secrets where we can get shocked from stuff that we didn't know that could be possible that the humans could have been capable of being or doing. They can add in stuff even during the games from Gears1 through Judgement like maybe hidden plans where covered up to not show the dark side of the COG. And I think they should. I'll believe it whatever the makers say if they do. A big reason will be from the Secret that Prescott hid from tons of gears and citizens which was the Palace Asura was it? where he kept hidden scientist including Marcus Dad from being seen so he could find a cure or even back when Marcus didn't see his dad to begin with, what could have Prescott even have made Marcus father do? What could he had made him work on besides a cure? like maybe Prescott or Prescott's father wanted COG's to be as strong as Grenadier's whose to say he didn't make the Doctor who was making these mutations allow to do his experiments and then have it shut down because it wasn't what he wanted to see he possibly wanted not monsters but savage humans.

Locust couldn't have existed pre pendulum wars. They come from lambency So, it has to be a few years after imulsion was discovered or rather, worked with. And many years after that, during pendulum wars maybe, they were digging deeper into the hollow and breeding. So locust were first discovered by adam fenix around midway into the pendulum wars.

the locust aren't a different species, niles samson wasn't mixing locust and human DNA, the Sires were Lambent Humans, infected and mutated from prolonged exposure to Imulsion. The Sires found at New Hope by Marcus and Dom were the ones left behind when the facility was forced to close down and Niles Samson and the other scientists along with the Sires and the children of the Sires (who were mutated because of Lambency in their blood/genes) had to relocate to Mount Kadar. These mutated children of the Sires were the first Locust, and when they were in Mt. Kadar in the early years of the Pendulum Wars, mind you the Pendulum Wars lasted for 80 years, so in that 80 year period the children of the Sires (the Locust) and the children of the first Locust and their children and their children and their children, etc. etc. went further and further underground, thus a whole new subterranean race slowly formed unbenknonwst to the humans during the entirety of the Pendulum Wars. The Lambent were Locust that were then re-exposed to Imulsion, and more and more of them grew and the Locust Civil War started and THAT is why the Locust had to relocate above ground and destroy humanity on the surface, so they could live and survive essentially. Queen Myrrah is/was totally human, she was a descendant of the human scientists in Mount Kadar that was born amongst the Locust (children of the Sires) and thought them superior to normal humans.

I always thought the locust were descendants of the sires from gow2. The queen cant be one of those experiments because the Imulsion Pulse didnt kill her right off, Marcus stabbed her, she didnt even flinch. My guess is that she is mostly human and is a lesser sort of experiment. But she must have been the first because the locust refer to her as the queen, maybe because the first generation of locust were in captivity along with her. Once her and the first generation of locust went into the hollow with Niles, its safe to assume they killed or turned on him, started to establish their own hierarchy with Myrahh as the queen. Now how they bred is hard to say but since they rape Bezerkers yea nice image of a giant locust getting gang banged like its brazzers. But they started to "domesticate" the Brumaks, Reavers, Tickers and such. Because on Sera they have folk lore about terrible creature that live underground and even in gow2 they said the rock worms, which is the Locust food source, were indigenous to the hollow. So they are more like animals, kinda how you would strap exposives to a rat and send him behind enemy lines to self detonate. During this time Myrahh is in contact with Adam Fenix because of the locust lambency. Locust civil war happens and I remember from Gow1 in a cutscene you see lambent drones and grenadiers but you never fight them in game, but they are fighting the normal locust. One hops at Marcus but gets reked and when it does lambent ooze slithers its way out to another lambent locust. Becuase imulsion as said by Adam is a parasite, a whole organism, with its own DNA and instincts. Fast forward to Gow4, now you have the locust eer i mean swarm who honestly look like a parasite with all the red creep they spawn. Call me crazy but imulsion is always one thing that stays constant throught. Imo the locust you fight come from lambent reproduction, they are already infected with it but are just carriers. Explains why they are so many because imulsion is fuel, why wouldnt the parasite acts as a catalyst for faster reproduction infecting more host. The real, smarter locust ie. RAAM, Skorge, and Karn are decendants from the first generation locust. I have the feeling more will be revealed in Gow4, but with Karen Traviss out the picture I doubt it will be good, story and detail wise. But this is all speculation.

I thought that humanity came from another planet colonized, and then nuked themselves. The humans that stayed on the surface stayed human and fought each other with swords and horses which is why there are portraits of people with armor and swords in museums and the Fenix estate, and soon after they found some kind of data life boat which is kind of a blue print telling them how to get back to modernity which is how they advanced so far in technology in so little time. The humans that took shelter in caves and the underground were gradually exposed to imulsion and turned into the locust who were pushed out because of the lambent epidemic.

I can buy the queen thing but the rest seems off. the locust had to have already been there because that doesn't explain the beast they brang with them ( reavers corpsers etc ) and also in gears 2 it is also hinted that the locust Surfaced because of the lambent coming into their home and sire can't be a early form of locust because you would have seen them more often not to mention locust also have genders with berserkers being female and it also wouldn't make sense because if that's how locust came about humanity or the cog. Wouldn't have been caught off gaurd E day because if sires became locust obviously they would have studied one full life span O and this also doesn't explain how the queen had a WHOLE HUMAN DAUGHTER in gears 4. to many holes

Ok when they say children of the sires, I think they meant the children the miners had before the whole research project began. These miners had children after being contaminated by imulsion but before becoming sires. So the children had birth defects due to their parents genetic makeup being tainted by imulsion , which would slowly turn them into locusts as they grew older. The only thing I don't get is how did that small number of mutant kids become the basis for a locusts army of millions in just 79 years, there was only a few dozen sires in stasis , so I don't think they could have more then a hundred kids to send to mount kadar.

Honestly, I think the point is that we'll never know how the amassed like that or how tf subterranean creatures started mutating into mutated species that are domesticated by the locust in 79 years. Like the rift worm? Brumaak? Wretches? Tickers? All of it doesn't make sense to mutate, amass, and domesticate all those creatures in 79 years let alone amass an army of locust soldiers. Plus, if its took 79 years for e day to occur after the locust were created, how old is Queen Myraah exactly? Much if not all of it will be left unanswered, but I'm still looking forward to the new GOW, I honestly didn't think it would be good at first, but I've come around to it.

Marcos Mendez I think he realized how much more powerful and controllable ssjg is compared to the ape form, so no point. He's a fighter that thinks ahead and plans, great ape = hard to control and maintain, so it's hard to plan around. Same reason he looks down upon the ssj3 form.
