Love seeing the progress of this car, makes me want something Vtecy! I was also wondering if you'd considered getting a suit etc. I know it's a bit of expense, but given how fast the car is getting it might be wise to look at things like a HANS device. Obviously hoping you'll never need it, but I always feel a lot safer with than without.
@police4283 жыл бұрын
I agree with JIMMER here. With these kinds of tracks, ones that aren’t the highest quality in terms of safety (metal and tire barriers with not so smooth grass). Extra equipment likes a HANS device, race suit and proper helmet will be a great addition. I’d rather have it and not need to use it and not to have it and need to use it!

Maybe it’s time for a big brake kit, you’ll be able to get on the brakes later in the turn, and they’ll stay cooler.. some DIY brake ducts too 😳 maybe some hood Louvers to keep the engine bay temps down, cooler engine, and less pressure under the hood.. tune it to go faster 🤩

Really proved my point about brakes here as I have told people sufficient air flow, great pads, a rotor that won't warp on you, good fluid, and shedding weight from your car will serve you better than just putting the biggest brakes possible on your car (brakes are heavy af too). I have 340mm/310mm on my MK7 and they are nice, but if I could keep the diff and go down to the non PP size I would because you don't need brakes this big on the street. Of course I could be wrong, and I will admit that these OE brakes with OE pads have impressed me quite a few times, but I feel that I could have gotten away with the smaller but more affordable rotors and pads. For comparisom a C6 Z51 has 340mm rotors, E36 M3 323mm...and I believe the STI has the same size fronts at 340mm, but the WRX is a good bit smaller and I envy my friend for that because he doesn't have to shell out a big chunk whenever it comes time to do brakes. TLDR check the price of consumeables before you buy a car, and bigger doesn't always mean better.
