The moment you're in a racing environment, you should have a fire extinguisher. You have a helmet, hans device, and roll bar - it's just part of the safety suite. No point in potentially burning to death over $200.

I agree! I believe that ALL cars should have a fire extinguisher onboard whether its used for racing or not. Any car can catch fire at any time. For $20-$50 it's such a tiny investment there's no reason to not have one. If you can't afford an extinguisher you really can't afford to lose your car!

It's amazing to see how much more comfortable he got towards the end after the training session, after seing what the car was capable off and in the last lap (the insane corner clip before revealing he got the record) you can really tell he was pushing the car 110%. Such a great video as always.

We can all learn from F1 this year that safety saves lives, as much as everyone wants to complain about it's encumbrance in racing. Stay safe; don't race your casket.

Part of what makes these cars fun is the rotation into curves. I grew up driving on mountain roads, and spent the last couple years driving a 1992 Civic VX on a beautiful twisty road following a small river through a mountain valley about 15 miles each way to work. 92 hp car can haul some serious ass through those curves, stay within a few hundred RPM of peak torque and don't be afraid to use lift-off oversteer and throttle control to bring it around curves- Once you turn into a curve you've gotta apply pressure on the wheel the opposite direction of the turn and stay in the throttle to keep it from swinging around.

I worked with racing karts for a long time, and during rain, we usually take out the filter element, because we can't stop water from getting in, but we can stop the filter from holding water.
