But recently, I've wanted to downsize to something with a slimmer footprint but my search has been pretty disappointing. But THIS looks like what I've been looking for. I watched twice trying to find one thing I would have to make a compromise with but it's not there. Well done, Fractal. My first GS video as well. So I built a computer with this case. I enjoyed it so much I ordered another one in RGB (when stock became available). Yes, that is crazy, except I have two adult sons who will be building computers within the next 6-12 months. I’m going to take the RGB fans for my system and give them the extra case and non-RGB fans. If the next build goes well then I might buy another one for the other kid. They are probably going to be on their own for graphics cards though. I realize I could have just bought separate RGB fans but this way no fans go unused. It’s also becoming a family shared hobby. Like hunting or golf. So justifiable on those grounds too. Fun! Good video! Thanks!

Amazing b-roll. I think taking out those epic fans for the AIO was a bit silly, but I guess that is just a preference thing. The glass back panel is something I actually really like about the case. It gives you a chance to nerd out and show your WHOLE build. If you spend some time and did some crazy cable management I think it could turn out awesome. If anything, I consider having the power supply at the top is just getting back to form and a much better use of space. I never really understood the trend of putting it at the bottom of the case, make all cabling slightly harder. Professional build workstations, like the HP Z Series, the Lenovo P series or the Dell Precision have the power supply at the top. Is the natural thermal flow of the air, from cold bottom to hot top. Modern switching power supplies generate so little heat that exhausting the heat from the power supply should be enough. I think that the only missed opportunity was the lack of a slim optical drive bay, maybe behind the front panel in the top, so is there when you really must pop a disk. While In understand CD/DVD/Blu-ray are considered deprecated at this point, I for example still use in some video archival projects. I certainly can live with them in any of my other builds, but not everybody has 5 workstations for day-to-day work.

I bought the white version, the back panel is solid white, not glass.. i'm waiting for the pc shop to build my system, i would have liked to see if the bottom filter can be removed from the front while radiator is installed? i'm being forced to use a water cooler for my CPU, i think i'm going to have a hard time cleaning the dust every year.. Also i didn't like the thumb screws at the back of the case, the corners don't give much finger and thumb room to unscrew them by hand, must use screwdriver, also one screw socket thread won't grip a screw unless i use a screw driver, i think because it's plastic and maybe drilled wrongly at the factory.. do you have a video showing how to remove bottom dust filter? also can a 2 fan radiator be installed at the top horizontally next to the power supply? Your videos are so damn good. Huge applause for the level of detail with your timestamps. One question: are the two big front fans a waste if using an AIO? They can't go on the bottom? For such a pricy case, it seems odd that the unique fans it comes with can't be used for AIO builds - and yet air cooled builds look weird due to the extreme amount of empty room between the mobo and front panel.
@cosmincorbu90242 жыл бұрын

It would also not go very well with my PSU (Seasonic TX-700), I think it would be ok to put it sideways, but not upside down. I still want to build a custom loop, but am currently in doubt about getting the O11 D XL, waiting for a possible O11 D Evo XL, getting the Corsair 7000D (currently unavailable in my country) or sticking to the Define S2 and using fewer radiators...

Case looks really nice but big issue for me is the placement of power supply at the top, preventing you from installing AIO there. IMO best position for AIO radiator is at the top due to heat naturally raising to top, which makes it perfect for fans to exhaust it out.
