Let me just say, the customer service at Tucker Gun Leather is phenomenal. I went to their website and was looking at the Deep carry DC-2 Appendix holster. I did not see that they made one for the S&W M&P40 with the SUREFIRE X300 light. I sent them an e-mail concerning that and within approximately 1 hour, I got a call from them. They added it to the drop down list so it can be ordered. That is what I call top notch service! I will definitely be a customer of theirs. FYI...lead time is 5 weeks or so because they're super busy.

One of the great advantages of the leather lining is that it wont rub your Cerakote off your firearm (if that's your thing), unlike the standard pure kydex holsters.

That is exactly what brought me to this video.. I have a PSA Dagger which I carry in kydex- the finish on it after 4 months is extremely worn. Not that I particularly care, but I woul dprefer it not be worn down to shiny steel. OK, also, who am I kidding- saw the redhead, and that's a huge attractor to this vid, too. Can't lie, she's lovely.

I prefer my go to holster for my 1911 as a Kydex because it's always ready to receive my gun and no fighting to remove my gun. I cannot get a IWB leather holster to keep shape! I prefer sliding my guns into leather and this holster seems to be the answer! Thanks1!!

I bought a similar holster from (a company that I'll be damned if I can remember the name). The retention was SO tight, I had to completely remove the retention screw (and it's still a little too tight). When I first got it, the retention was so tight that it racked my slide when I holstered it. And then, I could barely get it back out without force. Needless to say, this one looks pretty good and the one I bought is in the sock drawer (I mean holster drawer). Cheers from Marion, Ohio!!

My Safarilands and T-Rex’s are maybe more robust but nowhere near the craftsmanship. I’ll carry it for the rest of my life, I can tell

I bought a Tucker hf2 holster a couple of years ago for Colt Combat Elite. Best holster I have ever owned! I carry a full size government Colt very comfortably in it. I also have a Wright holster. I would pick a Tucker over Wright every time!

I've seen a couple of knife makers do kydex (for rigidity) holsters with leather on the inside and outside (for appearance). The process is involved and pricey. Ask around, I'm sure you'll find someone who can do it.

Very interesting...the best of both worlds. Less wear on the gun makes it interesting. While you can't hear it, do you still get feedback that the gun is completely seated? The longevity will hang on their adhesive and stitching, but it looks fine. The IWB one might need some coating against all the sweat.

I like the made in America concept, but I'm out on any type of kydex. It doesn't mold to your body like leather does, and also I've found that kydex has much less retention then leather and the retention from kydex degrades over time depending on the design, not to mention the expense of having your pistol re finished after the cheap leather degrades from the interior of the holster.. let's see you do about 1000 reps of dry fire practice. My Mitch Rosen President with FD stays rigid after a full day of sweating and working. It also conforms to whatever I want to wear during the day. The Presedent also has a soft and subtle click with a nice rake that allows me to carry a full sized TRP with a full rail and 8 round mag concealed.

It looks like it sits way too high for IWB. As if the grip will fall forward if you bend over. I like the top of the pant to be just under the grip.

For almost 27 years my duty holsters made by Safariland have been made of poly-type holsters "wrapped" in cowhide leather to include a thin layer if cowhide inside the holster itself. So plastic molded holster, wrapped in leather, and suede inside the plastic mold. Seems like this company does the same thing except they use kydex instead of molded plastic.

They are very different, depends on what you are looking for and how much you are looking to spend. This is more high end. Perfect for those who are concerned with the wear and tear from a traditional kydex on their safe queens. Vedder makes an outstanding holster that has the quality and functionality for everyday use. I have an Urban Carry leather lock for my model 92. My problem with them are they are not model specific. They have several universal sizes but, they just don’t fit the gun the way I think it should.

Flyer777 Then try the Kusiak leather minimalist holster. No bulk. You won't be sorry with Kusiak. Form shaped and treated. Rigid enough that they don't collapse yet comfortable. I have to agree. Like the stitching,Boltron (supposedly superior to kydex,maybe..dk.?.)an OWB Garrett Industry is leather lined full kydex .never worn one of the tuckers but my GI stx,not the 2.0 model. With straps & pull dot snaps is awesome & makes a 2.5”S&W 66K frame disappear under an untucked T-shirt.slick outer shell + slick grips (g10s VZGRIPS)is the magic.straps = quick on off .from the look of the OWB model shown here,GI is much more minimal/less material + more organic shape..LOVE IT.

Its looks to be a great hybrid holster. Many come and many go... Either quality retention or a leather break away strap are important features...Hate leather all you want. But a Milt Sparks custom shark skin leather IWB holster beats this want- a- be holster any day. The pile of losers holsters grows...Civil unrest builds get your ccw asap.
