My rule of thumb when it comes to gun cleaning is to do it literally every time I shoot (maybe 1-2 days later if I can't do right away) - never had a malfunction gun. Also, to me, the cleaning process is therapeutical. Once you get the hang of it, it's not that complicated at all.

Said you won’t need a hammer to clean it. Never seen a HiPoint huh

Don’t waste a penny on that “gun scrubber”. I use generic non chlorinated scrubbing bubbles. Store brands, they work great. Yes clean the packing grease and machining oil off of and out of your brand new forearm, if you buy a used one that didn’t come with a manual they are available as free pdf downloads from most if not all manufacturers. Black Powder and substitutes demand same day cleaning with water. I use water to rinse, soap and water to scrub and hot water to rinse again and repeat until no more brown on patches

Guns do need attention unless you like rust. Having said that, today's guns seem to me to have much better finishes than my daddy's guns. As a kid i was taught that if you shoot it you clean it as soon as possible (like that night). I'm 67 years old now and it seems to me that today's guns have much better finishes and aren't quite as prone to rust. Maybe that is my excuse for not being as anal as I used to be because I hate cleaning them. If I think I'll shoot that gun again in the next week or two I usually just wipe it down. If it is going back into the safe it gets cleaned but not necessarily the same day.

Pros of Digital Night Vision. -Cheap. -Most able to record video. -Great for entry level collectors and preppers! Cons -Video delay when compared to Analog night vision. Needs to be at 60hz or 60 frames per second and above to compete. Another pro is how there are fusion units with Thermal sensors so you can use both thermal + night vision. Unless I'm mistaken and analog night vision units is whats combined with thermal sensors.

Going through the proper steps on how to clean would be nice. From step 1 to the last step. Show the proper way to clean and maintain it so people can see the steps to do so properly.

As a retired RO/LEO… my advice and it has never proven wrong…. CLEAN YOUR FIREARM AFTER EVERY RANGE DAY… period. 1 magazine or 6 rounds. clean it inspect it etc . NEVER EVER BUY A NEW GUN WITHOUT GIVING IT A CLEANING PRIOR TO SHOOTING IT… My advice make it yours.

"Believe it or not, every time you buy a firearm, it comes with this cool little booklet." Blatant lie. New, civilian market firearms always come with a booklet. Used guns rarely come with the booklet. Milsurp guns NEVER come with a booklet.

2:01 cleavage. Yikes! With that said, your opinion on silicon spray on sliding parts? It seems to dry well while providing an ongoing slick surface. I tend to go little crazy sometimes like using brake cleaner on metal only parts with some good crud on them (never composite parts). Your thoughts?

Depending on your firearm, you should clean out the extractor channel and firing pin channel once in a while.
