Why are the step and direction pulse set to "0" for motor tuning with the UC100? Will having a value entered affect the UC100's operation?
@TheStoryist
@TheStoryist Жыл бұрын
This is not a symptom of the UC-100. Mach3's settings for pulse both for step, and direction are zero by default. It won't make a difference if you adjust them with the UC-100.

Thank you for your support, and the Storyist is correct they are by default set in Mach3 to these settings and aren't required to be adjusted for use with the UC-100. Thank you, Vince

@@corvetteguy50, @TheStoryist Thank you for the quick replies! I've been enjoying the setup for the past 1.5 years on the Taig and finally have some time to tune it up.

You can review CNCdrive.com, and they have the plugin for the UC-100. Thank you, Vince

Currently stuck with my x axis only feeding in one direction when I hit the manual jog button. I've got the exact same pin and directions as in the video.

Thank you for your support ISILENTNINJaI. I would review your motor's wiring, and make sure your connectors are seated properly. If they turn out to be alright I would reinstall the software to see if the issue is resolved. If it isn't, I would contact CNCdrive for support, or we can schedule an online consultation. Thank you, Vince

Vince, at present I'm getting set to configure my system and I have a question. I am running two steppers on my X-Axis as I've set my system up in a portrait configuration with the X-Axis as my long axis. Do I set the A-Axis Direction as Active Low to have this Axis' motor run in reverse to the X-Axis?
@corvetteguy50
@corvetteguy50 8 жыл бұрын
Yes you're correct. The active high, and active low settings will change the motors directions for a tandem system. You can also go under Menu, Config, Homing and Limits, and then check Reverse. Mach3 makes it a very straight forward process. Take care, Vince

Vince I went along with a previous comment that you had considering Limit Switches and left them off my machine. Unlike with Mach3, whenever I attempt to use Soft Limits in UCCNC. I get an error message whenever I turn Soft Limits on that my machine has reached a Soft Limit and it refuses to move. Unless I turn Messages Off, but how do I know if the Soft Limits are working or not without an Error Message telling me so? Also as an update, I converted my OX CNC Router over to Leadscrews from Belt drive and what a difference it has made. Only problem is that one of my motors refuses to cooperate as it had a damaged coil that couldn't be repaired. I was forced to replace this motor with a higher amperage motor as the original purchased motor is no longer manufactured. Go figure, hope the other 2 can stand up to the rigors for the moment.

Ron, Heres a video worth reviewing on UCCNCkzbin.info/www/bejne/d3rUpp2JjJ6Ipsk . Its using a Stepcraft system, but the process is the same in your software. The thing to keep in mind with soft limits is you must set them correctly to your machine. If the software is letting you know the limits are reached you need to reset them past to allow the axis to be within the travel dimensions, but not exceeding the limits. leadscrews are a very smooth accurate setup. I believe most avoid them do to more work to install them, Thank you,Vince

Thanks again Vince. Oh I don't know if you've seen an uptake in the numbers of inquiries that you have had, but I have spread the word across at least 4 or 5 forums that you're the go to Guru when it comes to CNC Setups and Hardware.

Vince, what pin are you using for your Touch Probe on your UCCNC Software. Is it not Pin 4 as outlined in the manual? Also with the Z-Axis, is Zero in the setup at the Uppermost point of Travel or at the bottom?
@corvetteguy50
@corvetteguy50 7 жыл бұрын
Ron,The UCCNC manual reflects pin 12, but you can manipulate it. The Z axis should be set to zero to your raw material surface. This is when the Z is lowered. Thank you, Vince

George,Did you download the users manual from CNCdrive.com, and follow the installation process of the software, and your users license? If you didn't start with that first. If you installed the software, an tried to remove it you need to make sure all remaining traces of the software are removed. Review your C: drive for any folders left, and delete them. Then start the installation process again outlined in the users manual.Thank you,Vince

Does Mach3 with UCC work on win 7 with a 64bit?
@corvetteguy50
@corvetteguy50 6 жыл бұрын
Mach3 is motion control software, as well as UCCNC software, but you can only use one, or the other. Either software will work on Windows 7 64bit, but you must use a UC-100 USB controller. Thank you, Vince
