Im glad i found this channel. My test is on 12/22/20. Its the Online version. Im hoping they make online permanent given the COVID-19 lock down and how its affected testing centers being open. Knowing is half the battle and this saves a lot of time on a timed test. By knowing how to use the calculator along with how to do problems its hard not to pass. You explain clearly and concise and give multiple examples. I will be studying your GED calculator instruction vids nonstop along with other material and doing practice problems. Repetition, muscle memory, and practice problems along with knowledge of how to use the TI-30xs calculator anyone can pass no question. Thank you and i appreciate the content to you provide as it adds great value. Will be telling others i know or come across about this channel.

@@LightandSaltLearning will do. I reviewed the order of operations PEMDAS and it harder or longer ones but was looking for the problems like this for ex 1. 2(6×-15×) -6×. The answer i was able to do writing out which was -24x. But wasn't able to put that in on the TI30XS calculator. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I added the X got an error or zero I believe if I recall correctly or tried without X's in it ofc that changes the equation thus the answer. Does the link you sent me cover that and also doing or combining like terms for example? Cause the online GED whiteboard/scratch board kinda sucks lol. Been practicing a lot on it got better but it's time consuming having to use it writing out problems so I rather not waste much time writing out the problem being we cannot use scratch paper while being proctored/watched by the proctor.

@@TheLakeShow You can't put the variable (letter) into the calc. It will do computations for you, but you need to be able to handle the algebra. Here's the Unit from the Crash Course on algebra. The particular problem example you used above is an example of SIMPLIFYING ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSIONS (Lessons 6-8) sites.google.com/view/gedmathcrashcourse/algebra

What’s the BEST calculator to use to solve radicals (square roots, cube roots), linear and quadratic equations and absolute values???

I don't have a ton of experience with other calcs, sorry. This is the only one allowed for the GED, so this one is what I use most of the time.

Hi, thanks for the info... it was helpful , just got my TI30xs today... my question is about my calculator ... I entered a fraction of 4 and 3/63rds , i hit enter thinking it would reduce it but i got an improper fraction of 85/21.. Is this correct?
@LightandSaltLearning3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is correct. But you can also convert it into a mixed number (4 1/21) using the convert function (2nd, x10n). Although neither way is more correct, since a mixed number was given to you, it's probably a mixed number answer they are looking for.
@nitsgh22562 жыл бұрын
why does my calculate have a parenthesis between the mix fraction
@LightandSaltLearning2 жыл бұрын
Are you asking why you need parenthesis or why your calculator adds one?

math print is for all math problems?
@LightandSaltLearning4 жыл бұрын
Not exactly. Mathprint writes and gives simplified answers like a mathematician usually would. But if you are looking for decimal answers classic mode is the quickest route.
@Lostsymbol33335 жыл бұрын
For the mode change on the calculator, would I always leave it as mathprint for the entire math test? Also what is the between classic mode vs mathprint?
@LightandSaltLearning5 жыл бұрын
For most of the problems on the GED, I prefer mathprint, yes. Most frequently I use classic mode for when I want a decimal answer.
