Thank you so much! For taking the time to make these videos🫶 I passed my math GED test yesterday(which was my last one!) I made a 152 after failing the Sunday before with a 140. I feel like my first downfall with the score before was that I didn’t spend enough time or pause the videos and try hard enough. So honestly my fellow students just get engaged in the video! Pause the video answer the questions on your own try to watch at least 1 to 2 videos a day the longer ones and it’ll be worth the time you spend on it! I promise I’ve never felt this great and accomplished! Now it’s time for the new chapter in my life🥰 also for anyone that’s looking to give them self an excuse life is hard and there’s really never an easier time to do it I’m going through a divorce I also have a 18 month son who is autistic and runs around like there ain’t no tomorrow but I let him run around the yard while I brought my books outside and studied if you want it hard enough you’ll go through whatever you have to do to get it! stay strong 💪 and remember your worth it!!!!!

Despite the couple errors, I truly appreciate you being there to help so many (including myself). To those with upcoming tests even though it’s timed, take your time! Get the ones right that are easy to you. If a question is difficult and you are unsure still select an answer(even if it ends up being a guess) you still have a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right. I stopped at question 11 to say thank you. I have my test tomorrow in Calgary, Alberta. I am taking the free GED course through Kindred. The classes were free. The book and tutors were free as well. I like your video because you are focusing on everything and that helps. Some videos out here on KZbin are Algebra heavy which is fine, but I think the GED will go through everything. Also make sure you are super comfortable using the scratch pad/whiteboard and calculator online , and that you have gone through the formula sheet and know where everything is as this will save you a lot of time (and stress on the day). I'm taking my first portion of the GED test tomorrow, which is Math! Thank you for this video. Its so much harder to learn this by yourself and online. I cried every day trying to learn this but fear of continuing with shitty jobs pushed me. Don't waste your time like I did for so long. Check your local workforce center for free programs that offer in person and online virtual classes, they'll pay for your pretest on the GED website AND the actual tests -- the pretest made me feel better, and it gives a little confidence that if you don't pass at least you didn't pay for it LOL.

I'm rooting for you ! Make sure if you are doing it online that you spend some time getting familiar with the online calculator and the online whiteboard. People waste a ton of time on that and its stressful. Also make sure you look at the formula sheet so you know where everything is and don't waste time, and do some of the free practice test at GED:com so you are comfortable with the interface of the test. 5:43 why wouldn’t that 4 be negative? There is a minus sign that makes it -2^2= -4. Because the way you did it, you just switched the minus into a plus. That’s how I was taught in school anyway. Thanks!

A good tip for any repeat math takers if you’re failing by a few points each time learn the Pythagorean theorem for the triangle question. It’s easy to spot and easy to remember. It helped me pass the test finally and scored higher for my collage placement .. do it!!

Hi! first of all thank you so much! in your problem in minute 5:41 you had an exponent and when you solved it and moved it down the sign went from minus to positive... why is that? you also said there is no parenthesis but there are some parenthesis after you replace the letter with the numbers x=2 and y=5, those don't count as parenthesis?

@@carolinagallardo9481 so if you take 1 23/12 that's the same as saying 1 11/12 + 12/12 . Twelve over twelve (12/12 is equal to 1) So you end up with 1 + 1 11/12 so that's 2 11/12. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you very much, there's just one thing, on Question 37, there's 1.5 cup of Olive Oil and when you were solving it you wrote that there's 2.5 of olive oil, so at the end it adds up to 3.9 but if it's 1.5 it will add up to 2.9. Good catch ! Thanks for pointing that out @ Richie YO. I thought I had written (-2)^2 in that case the answer would be 71 because (-2)^2 = (-2)(-2) =4 BUT you are correct. I wrote -2^2 which would be negative 4 because -2^2 = -(2)(2)= -4 so the correct answer would be 63 indeed ! Well done !

Make sure you do a GED ready test , under exam conditions ged.com/study/ged_ready/ You want to give yourself a margin in your score, you if you just barely pass maybe wait a bit to take the real thing. Make sure you know how the whiteboard and calculator work so you don´t waste time and make sure you are familiar with the formula sheet and where everything is. Also, I would say have a system of how you answer problems so that when you are stressed you always follow your system. Best of luck ! Let us know how you do !

Hang in there, its hard to get back into study mode. Its better to do something small everyday, make progress and build on it. There's shorter videos in the channel too 5-10 questions for days when you don't have too much time or motivation. You got this, just keep taking small but consistent steps every day !

@@spacemanspliff2174 we usually do quizzes with a mix of questions (basic arithmetic, applied arithmetic, algebra, geometry etc) so that you can be constantly reviewing the different topics that the GED covers. We have one video exclusively on percents in the 25 quiz section, but mostly we do mixed quizzes.
