Geddy Lee is an icon, as are Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. Been a Rush fan since the early 80's and have seen then perform live several times. One of the greatest rock bands ever.

my left leg has "THE RUSH SCAR" i got it gashed open at a RUSH CONCERT at THE HOLLYWOOD SPORTATORIUM" in Hollywood Florida early 80's. there was a huge riot at the concert entrance where Hollywood police were shooting tear gas at RUSH fans. as I was helping a girl get up off the floor who got gassed someone threw a broken glass bottle the hit me and ripped my leg open to the tune of staples and sutures. 24 staples and 33 sutures... I still made it in the show and watched it with my leg all tied up with bloody concert shirts. lol... After show paramedics took me to Hollywood memorial hospital off of Hollywood blvd. WAS AN AWESOME SHOW.... QUALUDES RULE!!!! RORER 714 BABY.... LOL

I admire the graceful silence that Geddy maintains throughout the unexpected suffering that Norm proudly captured on video and posted for all to acknowledge. So thankful that I was able to see everyone having stand there and look at the dork holding the camera while you take some time saying nothing. Norm this verifies that you're an absolute hero... Geddy Lee's "buddy". hahaha Maybe they'll write a song about this glorious event: " Time Without Purpose". Lighten up everyone... including you, Norm

People seem to diss Rush all too easily. While they're not my favorite band they're three of the most talented musicians around and have produced some really inventive and unique music. Lee just seems to be such a nice guy and possibly my favorite bass player. Huge fan of Working Man, Xanadu and Limelight. An all time classic group for sure. Also greeting everyone from Galway, Ireland on St. Patrick's day! Love the videos Norm and Mark!

I've always liked Rush- but anyone who doesn't needs to check out their documentary ""Beyond the Lighted Stage" . It will seriously change your perception. I liked them before - but really 'got it' afterwards. Then saw them (same year) at the NYS Fair - we were in the 5th row - they totally killed it. They performed "Moving Pictures" end-to-end (Tom Sawyer... YYZ... Red Barchetta , etc ) .. , plus another full set of other "Rush Hits" through the decades. The guy beside us had seen them live over 100 times... and when you start asking around at a show that's not atypical of a Rush fan.

Geddy isn't stupid. He collects vintage basses, and then increases their value just by him owning them. I bet he doesn't even look at these basses after he buys them. Just sticks them in a safe, like a bar of gold. He also probably gets to write them off on his taxes since it's a "tool" of his trade. Very smart investment.

Tweeted by markagnesi from Norman's back in Oct. 2016: One last P-Bass for the night. This one of a kind, 1959 Fender Precision Bass was custom ordered for bassist Rue Barclay who played with Jimmy Bryant. This original Olympic White over Sunburst finish featured a gold anodized pickguard, maple neck and matching headstock, and was ordered to match Jimmy's '59 Jazzmaster with the same appointments. A matching gold anodized guard Mandocaster completed the set. Matching headstock on Fender bass does not become an option on custom colors until 1962, and typically only on Jazz bases. I sold this bass a couple years back to the one and only Geddy Lee who used it nightly on #Rush 40th Anniversary Tour. How rad is that??!!!!?!! @geddyimages @normansrareguitars
