Hi Ali. My favourite item (& the only item I liked) out of both boxes is the boggart cabinet. I agree with Jessica's comment that the second wand looks like it has troll bogeys on it! Lol.

Agree and agreed Cathryn! 🤣🤣🤣 The boggart cabinet was definitely the best item from either box, and now that Jessica mentioned the troll bogey, I can definitely see that being the theme of the wand too! My mind never even thought about that when I was opening it!

Wow, Ali. Good for you for taking a step back from Geek Gear. One or two decent items for every 3 boxes is not acceptable. Unfortunately, I would not be surprised if Geek Gear ended the wizardry boxes completely at some point. Or completely revamped, increased their prices and tried another approach with better quality and less frequent boxes? Happy you are choosing to try different boxes to collect from.

They sent email out today the subs box is ending there moving to a product only website. But kicker is there last box will be full of past items which no one wants.

Chelsea I think you are a Seer, since this is exactly what happened! And I definitely agree with you that most of the items in the last boxes were really just becoming unacceptable. I never want to see a subscription box come to an end, so I do hope that Geek Gear takes this opportunity to really make us some nice replicas that they can have available on their shop.

Jessica that never even crossed my mind, but it could definitely be that too! (Which would explain the bright green a little better) lol. I am going to have to keep my eye out on their website to see if they sell the single wand, maybe then we can see the name and description!

The pins were house themed as I got Ravenclaw and I was also missing a wand card and cheat sheet so it wasn't just you! I unsubscribed from GG in March as the items were not doing it for me anymore. The Boggart Cupboard was adorable though.... they still do the occasional great replica but I'll just buy from their shop if there is something amazing in future!!!

Maybe you could put the coin from the first box with a Niffler? It's shiny so it would fit to be with one. The print looks like the doe patronus is a big chubby? The glow on it is nice but it looks like she is pregnant with twins or something. I like the shirt from the second box more than the first. The second coin is better than the first. The print in the second box is better. You can put one of those borders on it to hide the white around it to make it look better. I can't remember what that is called... The cabinet is really nice. I checked online and they are selling that as a stand-alone item so I bought it. The wand is pretty cool too in the second box. I never saw one like that. It's very interesting. Since they will sell some items after the boxes are released on their own you might be able to just check the website after they release the boxes and pick out what you like from them instead of committing to a box. I'm kicking myself for not getting the Aunt Petunia's Pudding when it was available.

Hey Kristy! I have decided I am definitely going to give all my random coins to my Niffler! It is such a good idea ❤️✨ And that is exactly what I thought about the Doe patronus! Her proportions have her looking a little chonky! I am hoping that maybe with their revamp they will put some old replica items on sale, I would also love to pick up the pudding replica, and the mini slughorn hourglass! 💚✨

I wonder why they took their Instagram page down. I did just get an email with a discount code, so I wouldn’t think they’re closing up shop. I agree with you the mini replicas they put out are some of my favs. I’ve ordered a few of them. I really like the black and gold wand! The second box with the coin, I always thought the skeleton was a dragon 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s too bad you didn’t get a wand card, it would be interesting to know its story. The bogart cabinet is my fav from both boxes! I’ve looked at that online and thought about ordering it. I’m excited about you getting some new subscriptions boxes!

Hi Ali. I'm really confused with Geek Gear these days. I got the Feb box but there was no t-shirt and no cheat sheet. I did like the black and gold wand. I don't love the coins but nowI just put them all in a pile around with niffler! The March box was fine and I liked the cabinet but no wand card or cheat sheet again. I cancelled my subscription as well. Enjoyed your video!!

I’m not sure if they were just getting sloppy with packing their boxes, but after opening these last few boxes I was not surprised to see the email that they are stopping their subscription boxes 🙁 Also, thank you for mentioning that you pile the coins around for your Niffler! I have so many that I never use, so I think that would be a great way for me to add them to the shelves 🥰✨

They always had a shirt and a print in it and the rest was different each month. Then they added a piece which was the same each month for a year like a charm and the bracelet came with the very first box in January . Same with a cookbook & recipes and a pin flag and pins ….But they didn’t do that anymore, always coins and wands . Liked the wands better when they did specific characters and the occasional normal one but most of the normal ones were kinda boring

I try not to think about Geek Gear at all! But the bogart cabinet was brillant! I just do not have the desire for non- character wands. And TWT already did a dueling champion award. The two tees left me cold. The coins are not that great. Even though I doubled my space, I am going to be a lot more selective about what buy and keep.

Hey Annette! I do agree that the bogart cabinet was brilliant, but it is about the only real memorable item we had in these two boxes! I am definitely excited to see what some other boxes can bring to the table now though 🤩✨

Yes, we are about to get the House pride box from TWT. I hope it is house specific. If it is a mix, then I told them not to send it to me. I am a Gryffendor (sorry) and would want only those items. Have they given out any information to the representatives? I got the email, but maybe you know more?

I am hoping that is the case as well! (And you don’t have to be sorry for being a Gryffindor, some of my favorite people are as well 🥰✨)

All the youtubers I follow have cancelled their subscriptions, including me who cancelled in January. Not only are the boxes terrible now, their customer service is shocking. Despite constant feedback on their decline, they have continued to go downhill. I had some hope they would seriously reassess and pull it together! They've been given a lot of chances by their loyal customers and blown every one 😩

I had heard this from many other people too! That is definitely not the way a company should treat their customers! I think I was just lucky that my boxes always turned up!

What the heck is wrong with GeekGear ??? What a disappointment for the price…something’s definitely wrong with them. I had a subscription for newly 6 years with a few gaps but what’s happening right now made me unsubscribe.. first their Instagram account disappeared without a trace and when I sent them an email about it they just responded: oh yeah we noticed it , it’s weird …bla bla bla and that was it…no message via newsletter to their subscribers about it…only silence . Their website went down so often the last few weeks and the products are always the same . Always coins,medals,wands and notebooks. I really loved them as they had gorgeous products and were the only option to order for me in my country but what’s happening right now make me angry and kinda sad , especially their radio silence

I hope that you received their most recent email where they are finally explaining to us what is going on. It is most definitely disappointing that they are going to be stopping their subscription service, but I think we all kind of saw it coming at the same time 🙁

@@MagicalAli yes I got it yesterday ! So sad indeed . What makes me kinda angry is that they only now spoke up about their troubles whereas it would have been better to communicate it early that they have problems . Would have saved them a lot of angry customers and maybe a bit more understanding

@@jennykyle I completely agree! I worry that the items may be duplicates, or just items they are trying to get rid of because they have a high inventory of them 🙁
