Just built a week ago using one of your build plans. I priced the build with a few "custom" companies and when I modified their builds to match my parts and it was much cheaper.

How much was in total?
@rangersmith46524 ай бұрын
1) You need to know: 1) What Intel is ultimately going to do about the Raptor Lake debacle. 2) Zen5 performance and pricing compared to Zen4. 3) What the proposed PC will be required to do the day you build it and some number of years going forward. 4) Not a single component in your PC cares what brand the other components are. 5) Two sticks of RAM will be easier to get working at rated speed than four. 6) Pinching pennies on your PSU or motherboard is not worth the risk. 7) RGBs add nothing to performance and probably take it away. Any questions?

Regarding tip #6, is investing in a titanium rated power supply worth it? Haven’t built my pc yet, but as of now I am planning to buy a ThermalTake Toughpower GF3 TT Premium 80+ Gold PSU. I can go titanium and want the quietest and coolest build possible. Is titanium worth it?
@rangersmith46524 ай бұрын
@@TheRealDen1zz Gold, Titanium, etc. are not quality ratings; they're efficiency ratings. I suggest visiting Cultists Network and checking their quality tier list. Look for the unit you're considering there, or use the ranking to narrow your list and then find the best price on those units.

The right choice for your motherboard will likely fall into place after you've already picked most of the parts, such as the CPU, GPU and RAM. Get those squared away first, and then pick out the motherboard that meets the needs of the other parts!

@JJFlores1974 ай бұрын
I'm sure that's been tested already. Yes in most applications, the speed differences are not significant UNLESS you move/copy a lot of large files regularly. For most gaming, there's not much of a performance benefit between NVMe and SATA.
