Were you guys at the vip seating for thr joust? Trying to figure out what those look like and if theyre worth it.

We weren’t, but they’re on the opposite side from where we were. VIP seats would have a closer view of the actual jousting, and I think it comes with a beverage or something. Some of the banter and dialogue is spoken closer to regular seating (where we were).

It doesn’t specify, but it usually does include both active and retired.

This was the first weekend which is usually the least busy. Those of us who work there usually recommend that people don’t come that weekend because even though we spend weeks rehearsing, it is impossible to know what it’s like working a faire day with thousands of people.
