1:44, you said phraseology, but first I heard crazyology, and I'm totally saving that word crazyology for later use. Haha.

Thank you so much for the review! This is something we have never done before so the feedback is invaluable!

I could see using a system like this in conjunction with a solo game of D&D or another fantasy setting to generate some cool dungeon delves.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! Just received my copy of this from the Kickstarter recently and have been enjoying it quite a bit, but definitely noticed the same issues with combat dragging out far too long. I may try something similar to your house rules for combat going forward.

What really come through in your review is this is a system that needed more testing, development and clarity but the designer didn't provide it. It sounds like the beginning of a good concept that hasn't been completed. If "combat drags" in early sessions then clearly that won't encourage replay value. This should be a cautionary note to designers not to be impatient and release your game too soon (though some may "fix" some issues and then attempt selling a revised edition). As a "veteran" (ie older) game I see this this speak to the lack of finish, editing and general care that blots many products today. I'll note a basic lack of proofreading in otherwise lovely and glossy rulebooks - things like that. But thanks for your review - I always enjoy them.

Your assessment is correct tho here-as opposed to other games-it doesn’t bother me. This game feels more like the product of an enthusiast who wanted to produce his vision than a sloppy money grab. I was charmed by it, warts and all, and it invites tinkering, which I love to do.

@@GeekGamers01 oh, I love tinkering too - I guess it is a matter of how much is necessary.

Intriguing despite its shortcomings - or, as you say, potentially because of them. It doesn't seem to be available yet, but maybe when all the K-backers have their copies it'll be distributed to a wider public. I'll keep an eye open.

@@randomquest-wv Woohoo! Cheers for letting us know - hope it goes great!! I'll be looking in my UK FLGSes. I keep my direct US shipped products nowadays to a minimum (especially with cards, so adding VAT) because they become stupid-expensive, thus I try to keep it domestic as much as I can.

@@Wraithing Understandable, we do have a Print & Play option as well if that helps!

Skinning someone because of a rope sounds a bit extreme. 😳
