I love the points about "Made my character(s), now what?" Shadowdark has awesome random tables. Roll up a settlement. dice a rumor. start hitting up the oracle with questions about the rumor....pretty soon something has tweaked interest and off we go.

You should try Dragon's Down which is a modern and simplified version of Magic Realm!

Excellent video looking at some of the options available. 👍 Ker Nethalas was the game I picked when I wanted to get back into TTRPGs after a long hiatus. It is a lot of fun. But I can see myself giving the other systems a try eventually. 😁

14:48 in my game/world I seem to have a thing for writers as well. I'm seeing my version of what you were saying is that they are a writer for an underground newspaper investigating what happened to the real book.

the newer versions of them are very different now. I really like the older tables with a list of words instead of just a single word.

Wonderful to see the Dungeon Sheets! Thank you for taking the time with them. See this has made me realize that I need to clarify the Special Rooms component. No fault of yours - my having taken for granted how I tend to use them. Once you have found your final "special room", that is where your objective will typically be. Even though there may be more rooms in the location. Which also has me now going to flip the Discovery Table, to have Special Room be 5 &6 results....I think...Regardless, a great display at how these sheets are meant to be. Simplified and minimal resource to accompany a rule set.

Cards are actually the only thing i hate in the Ironsworn. It is super annoying when not using app. Also it is NOT possible to buy today, that's why making such mechanics is always bad idea.

Pretty cool sheets. I'll need to adjust some for Mutant Epoch rpg. They would be great for almost any Crawling, wethew Hex, Dungeon, Apocalyptic Ruins, bunkers (A.K.A. Vault), or science facility, or derelict ship and space hulk.

As much as I like dungeon crawling, I have to say that the overland exploration (even though cut short) felt much more interesting and exciting. I really hope one day we will see more of Silverfoot’s adventures!

So I should already be asleep, but when I saw the Perplexing Ruins sheets, I was like OK I need to watch now! No fibbing, I just finished a solo dungeon crawl using this and Axebane's Deck of many dungeons. Purely out of laziness. I didn't want to draw the map, so I used the cards for room shape, but I used all the tables on these sheets for everything else. I totally feel like one of the cool kids for also playing with the Perplexing Ruins sheets!

This is so awesome. I found these sheets a while back to use with a system a made myself to play solo. It is totally unbalanced and broken but it's cool to have made something procedural myself. I was very inspired by your videos to do this project

I vote you re-run the spider encounter with Silverfoot "Lockbane" (on account of him defeating every lock he came accross) He deserves to have a second chance! 🙏 I intend use these sheets with whitebox & 4 characters (2 on each sheet) along with the 1 page mythic GME & Chaos Reigns optional rule set with a few of my own (when I get them ironed out)

Silverfoot - great name! Those sheets are so much better than flipping through pages and pages in a book of random tables. After using them, I made my own.

Wow, I'm impressed. The game design and mechanical ideas of this game are really innovative. And it looks like a lot of it could be translated to other games no problem. I'll have to pick it up.

What if you kept the same map, and had a loved one of your character go looking for him? You could make tracking rolls or something to find where he went, and if you get lost and never find his body, well, you're adventuring and exploring anyway in this same world.
