I often hear the M4A1 referred to as basic. But if you look at it next to a modern, more "URGI" styled M4, its the newer ones fhat look more basic. The A1 has a lot of detail and cool visual features, and looks especially slick with modern furniture aded to it.

It is hard to swallow at that price, but it did not stop me from purchasing one. It is my go-to and the only meaningful thing i have replaced is the bucking/nub. It. Just. Works. ❤

If this gun had Colt tradmarkings, it would be legendary and worth the price. It would effectively be indistinguishable. But instead it has that weird "Avalon" trademark that I think looks goofy.

VFC is supposed to be putting new mosfets which keep the electronics in the gearbox instead of the buffer tube and it’s deans which is absolutely great. My vendor buddy actually received one and put it in my sopmod when my mosfet blew 2 weeks ago, I should also say thanks to you for your earlier video on the sopmod cause that’s what cemented my choice on getting that beautiful gun!

hi，lynn Eric I’ve watched your guys review on this m4 and I bought one. It’s very well built. However, I’ve noticed that the VFC does not replicate the SOCOM heavy barrel if you take a look at the barrel inside the Handguard. The flash hider that has a “cut” there indeed replicates the SOpMod flash hider. If you guys get your hands on Tokyo Marui’s SOpMod m4 NGRS, that one has authentically replicated the SOCOM heavy barrel. Regardless, this is a solid AEG and thanks for the review.

Definitely agree with the price it's not as appealing. I picked up a cyma M4 quad rail, which I'm currently running until it dies then I'll replace internals.

Cyma is literally better in every way besides externals, but it's to the point it makes VFC obsolete in comparison considering the Platinum series.

Awesom content. Sadly had to return my VFC Avalon Sopmod. The spring guide actually cracked on the first day of use out of the box. I'm sure it was just a random mishap but it was definitely concerning. would recommend using a different spring guide for long term use if you have any issues. I have torture tested a kwa vm4 A1 with an m190 spring for over a year with no issues to date. Love the variable fps for different field limits and role flexibility. My go to AEG for GPR or SPR builds.

A little hot glue can help those tamiyas a bit...but should be replaced. xt connectors better though a little bigger, deans problems are crappy grip and exposed blades. Beware the airsoft/rc battery polarity issue (AS is reversed) if you think you can use any deans plug wielding battery

This is the best style of AR15 rifle. I dont like the long rail that covers most or all of the barrel. I dont like the M Lock look. In fact Keymod looks muich better. But to me nothing beats the 7 inch quad rail of these Colt M4's. ITs what the US Miliary uses and has used for 20 years. They dont use Mlocks or Keymods etc. the only thing i dont like is the plastic rail cover that he put on and others put on. I want to see the ridges and holes etc of the "square" quad rail

How did you shorten the barrel? Do you have to take off the muzzle break first? Or can you just unscrew the part of the barrel to get it to 10.3 in

What do you think of gas guns such as Tm Mws m4s or GHk’s m4? They have trademark of Colt and also are more realistic than AEGs

So I bought this gun and had it for 2 weeks now. Today I used a 11.1 lipo battery for the first time and probably shot around 100bbs through it until the gun just stopped working. Any ideas on why this would happen? Thinking it was the battery I used my fully charged nunchuck batteries but the gun still wouldnt fire.

Way overpriced for an unlicensed replica sadly. The old price was fair, this is being charged as a licensed replica. So I went with a used king arms that I plan to get a modern gearbox down the line once it dies.
