So you hopefully won’t feel like you possibly wasted your money, I actually like this better mixed with the Covergirl Clean Matte foundation for more coverage, color accuracy and longevity. They mix pretty nicely. You are so much more fun than a lot of influencers. Thanks for being awesome and saving us money knowing what to get or not. Super great and unique personality and character :)

Hi Shelly! Hi Ziva! Oh Shelly, I just got a bit sad thinking about how much easier make-up was when I was 49. I’m 61 now and occasionally I feel like crying. I’ve been working harder than ever to look good, but my texture is driving me crazy. Never had to worry about it before. Hey! Age happens. Wish I still looked liked that 27 year old rocker girl sometimes though.

I understand completely. I always, always took care of my skin. My mom taught me that when I was 15-16. I’m about to be 48 and it’s like within a year I started having laugh lines and crows feet. I have some health issues so maybe that plays a part but it’s depressing for sure.

Same! I'm 57 and I used to have porcelain like skin, no pores whatsoever. But, age and health issues caused my skin to take a nosedive. Excessively dry, with dry patches, but oily in t zone, weird!!

I now wear sunscreen every day since my skin is very sensitive with Rosacea. I like the Vanicream SPF 30 - it applies very nicely with a nice matte finish without any white cast 🥰 Take care everyone 🌹

Hi Shelly. I remember the 1st time this foundation came out. It was in a glass bottle, with a lid, and you just poured it out. My mom's only foundation and it smelled just like Noxema. The good old days. It's crazy how high the price of drugstore makeup has gotten. Your skin looks great. I was a child of the 70s, and we baked outside with baby oil. There wasn't sunscreen. Thankfully, I started using it in my early 30s, but I still have the sin spots. I can't believe that there are still people that bake out in the sun, even at my age! The age old question. Hairdressers are always better at blow drying hair than we do. Sorry that the foundation was just so so. Thanks for the brush cleaner recommendation! I'll have to look for it. This is one of my faves for me. When I first used it, I applied using my fingers and it looked ok, but the wear was AMAZING. Tried it again with a sponge and loved it. I have balanced skin, oily-ish t-zone. It felt like it wouldn’t do well with dry skin, so I can see why it wasn’t great for you. I also sweat a lot and this holds us so well with sweat.

Would love to see you try the Misha cushion. I am really loving it. I mentioned texture previously, but this doesn’t enhance texture at all. Beautiful finish. Better than the CC in my opinion.

I feel like right now is a stretch of like 3 weeks when I can almost say my skin is "normal" instead of dry 🤣 but if I don't start my winter-prep skin care by the time school starts, I regret it come fall! lol

I tried this a few months ago and did not like it. It gave very little coverage and looked heavy on my skin… like it never sunk in.. seems like those two things shouldn’t happen together. Normally only feel like I can see my face makeup when I use a full coverage matte which this is not. I am 54 and have normal skin in the summer. I ended up giving it away. Wish it would have worked for me. Btw- got the products I ordered from you today… can’t wait to try them out!!

No product?! Your hair looks great! You did a fine job with the blow-dry because that style looks legit! Great eye look too with the Pokemon. This Cover Girl product looks like it may be best for young folks with combo-to-normal rather than dry skin. I'll stick with the Wet n Wild Bare Focus serum, or for clean options, the Jones Road WTF. Thanks for the tip abut the Eco Tools cleaner; I usually use their brush shampoo and had no idea about this rapid spray.

Hi Shelly, I’m new to your channel and I really value your opinion. I am also 49 and so I appreciate being able to see people my age reviewing different beauty products that might work for mature skin. I was wondering if you have or would you be willing to review the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Stick Blur + smooth Tint Stick Foundation? WOW, that was a mouthful! I grab it and I feel it works pretty well. As I have gotten older my skin has gotten drier but this one is not too bad. 😊

The 2 I brought on my recent week-long trip were MUFE Hydra Glow and Kosas BB Burst. The others that live on my vanity for easy reach are Nars Light Reflecting, Guerlain Terracotta, Polite Society, Haus Labs, Missha Perfect Cover, and MAC Studio Radiance (the squeeze bottle one).

Thank you, Elle! Yep so often it's the foundation - and I used to think it was just my face. I mean, my face can be a nuisance but more often it's the foundation!
