I almost hate commenting because I know my experience has not been the same as many others in my age group, but this foundation and concealer has done wonders for my skin. It blends seamlessly and covers exactly what I want without ending up cakey or in my wrinkles. Not sure what I'm doing to get that result, but I'm super happy with it! I feel bad when I watch these videos where it's settling into lines and looking very dry. I don't blame you for not liking it when it's performing that way for you. Not sure if a different primer or different skincare underneath would help? I'm not doing anything differently and I'm in my 40's with dry skin, too so I'm not sure why my experience is so different. How many times can I type different? Lol

I am so glad it's working for you, Mandi! That's the wild thing - body chemistry itself can make all the difference! I will be trying this foundation and concealer a couple more times in different ways just to make sure there isn't something I can do to make it work better for me (aside from my body chemistry!) I rarely seem to have such luck though. I always hope that when something doesn't work for me that it works better for everyone else!

I think it’s because I got too light of a shade. If I can find the right shade it’d work great!

What primer do you use? Because I’m 18 but it still causes wrinkles under my eye that I don’t even have without makeup and it looks cackey when I try to set it 😭 could you please describe the steps you do before putting it on?

I’m 38, dry skin, and I use this shade, and it’s does exactly what it promises to! It’s amazing for me.

Selena is young & gorgeous & don't have anything to really disguise & that's who her Rare Beauty is meant to work best for. I'm 52 & need Lots more helper cosmetics & coverage. I still Love her to pieces & will support her Brand anyway I can :D

Shelly , the hair color you have really makes the green in your eyes stand out. Gorgeous!!! I have green eyes too,& a purplish shade always helps the green to stand out.... but my eyes are not that deep forest green like your Irish eyes. Looks great on you 🍀🍀

Thank you for reviewing this shade🌹 it’s true doesn’t conceal the darkness or hollowness of the under eye. The best concealers I tried for darkness, hollowness and dry under eyes is “too faced full converge concealer but they don’t have the cool shades range, and KVD concealer is another good option. I tried also kosas but still doesn’t hide that deep hollowness like too faced does. If anyone know a good brand that does the three, please let me know 🌹 Thank you again for these great reviews ❤️

I'd have to agree with you on this concealer. The description is so different from how it actually behaved on your skin. Bummer.... As you stated, it did look more matte and emphasized any lines or crepiness going on. Hope you are well and staying safe. :-)

I definitely need to do an updated one!! Here are the current spoilers - my holy grail is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer (I wear 2 Fair). Very close runners up are the L'Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer and the Pat McGrath Sublime Perfection Concealer. =D

Thanks, JC! I don't have a formal review of the Nars Radiant Creamy but I can say that it was the first high end concealer I ever bought and I love it dearly to this day! (I'm probably on my third-ish tube which is impressive considering how many others I have and use!) I wear Vanilla in that one.

Honestly with this brand I'm probably just going to pickup a tinted lip balm to support the charity, and call it a day. I've heard better things about the blushes, but I have very similar colors from other brands.

I don’t wear concealer so I did get a sample in a Sephora order. This resembles a dewy foundation for me. I do like it but I don’t have anything to really cover up. I would buy it on sale. 😂

Any time someone's heart seems to be in the right place I root for it. I love the advocacy approach that this line has (which I didn't realize until after I filmed the review, so I didn't talk about it in the video unfortunately). I don't know much about Selena Gomez but she seems likeable.

Well.....this was disappointing....sounds like everything we DON'T want in a concealer! It doesn't seem like a winner for young people either. They may not have wrinkles, but many have darkness! I, for one, want ALL the illusion! 😁 Take care Shelly!❤

I agree. It looks matte. No brightness. The same holds true for the foundation. I don't see crows' feet, but there isn't any luminosity. My Rare Beauty Foundation is going to be heading back to Sephora. Oh well. Win some, loss some. 🤷‍♀️

Well, at least Rare Beauty is consistent. The concealer is as bad as the foundation. I don't normally notice much of a difference with concealers, but this one really showed up and is not great. My only hope is that you managed to snag this stuff at a discount. Thanks as always.
