Wow, that colour swatch made my eyes pop out (well, not literally)! Way way different from your other two matches. We can still get Max Factor here in NZ and I have often wondered about this foundation so thank you for reviewing it.

Max Factor really takes me back. One of the first foundations I ever used was Max Factor.

I love MaxFactor! Unfortunately, I have not had many products by them but they hold a special place in my heart. My mom used to wear their products and she would always tell us the story when she got in trouble….. as a teen (in the 1930’s) she was sent to the pharmacy to get some medication and purchased a red MaxFactor lipstick. Needless to say but she got into a lot of trouble since money was not abundant 😢

I am planning to do a little shopping at Boots this week 👍 I remember Max Factor had a cake eyeliner, years ago, and beautiful lipsticks. Now, their products are hard to find in Canada 🇨🇦 I have oily skin so I don't think this foundation would work for me. Your makeup is so pretty. Wow, Max Factor, that really takes me back in time. I think they're owned now by Procter & Gamble and they decided to cease operations in the USA, probably a cost-saving move. I think it looks great on your skin, very natural. I was on their website and they have some very interesting eyeshadow sticks, great colors and I might give them a try.

Grey hair is ok, it's fine. It would sure look great with your pink. I remember in the 70"s took a trip to LA with 2 kids and made hubby stay with them while I went to a Max Factor and had a makeover. Sure, I must have bought a couple of products but it's been a long time.

I finally bought the Terracotta foundation - wow is that beautiful foundation. So thin - great coverage and skin like with a glow. I think it’s bumped out my holy grail Armani because of the finish. I would never have tried it without you recommendation Shelly. Thank you 🎉

That one still blows my mind! I've worn it so many ways and I basically can't make it look bad lol - and we all need a foundation like that! So hard to find!!! (I've tried over 300 foundations and literally only 2 reach that level for me - the Teracotta and the Nars Light Reflecting!)

The makeup artist’s name was indeed Max Factor. I’ve seen his name in old movie credits.

Many people in the UK (especially England) are OBSESSED with looking tanned, so that probably accounts a bit for the orange... lol I wish Max Factor would come back to North America (sans the orange).

Used to wear panstick. Loved it but cannot find it anymore in France. This panstick was easy to use, fast and my skin was awesome

Avobenzone is also the only USDA approved chemical UVA sunscreen. It's short life is why I went to Japanese sunscreens years ago. Many americans use European or Korean sunscreens for the better UVA screens.

His name was Max Factor. 🙂 He was the makeup artist who invented pancake makeup for silent movies because everything else melted off under the lights. Then he invented panstick foundation, easier to apply. Fun footnote: Lana Turner loved the way he did her eyebrows so much that when he got drafted, she made him teach her how to do it herself. For the rest of her life she wouldn't let any other makeup artist do her brows!

PS The peachy tone is because the lights washed out actors' skin so badly. Warm tone makeup made them look more natural on camera. 🙂
