Hi Shelly. Loved your video. I’m a Mac Paint Pot Soft Ochre girl. I also like the KVD s😌Shade and Light that we did! Need to pull out Peach Perfect again...still don’t love peach shadows that much. The Other KVD is probably a bit young for my 60 years! LOL! I do admit I love the colors though. I love you too!! You are original and gorgeous and I wish you a great 2018!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💝💝🎉💝🎉🎉🎉

If you want to keep the curl of your lashes after you use lash curler try Estee Lauder Little Black Primer: it's a primer but its black, you can wear it underneath, on it's own or on top of your mascara - it's like a hairspray for your lashes.

Im stoked about all these fav videos Shelly! Keep em coming!! Roller lash under Perversion is my all time favorite combo, and I too love pretty much all things KVD. The Too Faced Peach Pallette is a go to for me lately I really like the REDS and been doing the same eye look for weeks I can't stop!

I’ve been LOVING the Marc Jacobs VN mascara so much as well. I alternate it with Perversion and IT Cosmetics Superhero. All of them are fabulous. I have 8000 other mascara samples but can’t even bring myself to try them.

Love love love all your reviews Shelly, but this film is my fav now, thumps up!😘 eyes are the window to the soul! i tried the total temptation after your recommendation and i fall in love with it! it gives me length, volume and it lasts all day and it gets better and better after each use! Thanks, Michaela! You know, I had a top 5 of brows, but it didn't fit on any list so I didn't film it! I'll try and wiggle it in to a video, but here are my favorites: 5 - Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Mascara. Great for days when I don't have time to fill in my brows but still want some depth of color and shape. It's a little too warm-toned for me but they don't have anything darker. 4 - Nyx Tame & Frame pomade - this is a new find, and I love the texture and hold, but it's WAY too warm toned on me, and again they don't have a darker brown or black. Great formula though and I would love if they would put out more shades. 3 - Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Brow Pencil. A Boxycharm find that I still don't know how it can be a universal color, but it totally works. I went through half of this pencil crushing on it. I forced myself to stop using it to try some of the other new releases out there! And really my tie for 1st place is the combo I love the most - Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Granite, and ABH Clear Brow Gel. I wear the clear brow gel almost every day (with the exception of days I wear the WnW) and the brow powder is my favorite look to my brows, primarily because of the color - they have a ton of colors to choose from and lots of tones to match just about any natural (ie non-green/blue/pink) hair color.

I’m hooked on the IT Cosmetics superhero mascara but I’m always looking for length more than volume. I love the Jaclyn Hill palette too...it has only recently taken a backseat to the Morphe 39A (the hugggge holiday one). Seriously Shelly, if you love the JH palette...you would love it. Awesome colors in it and same formula.

Oh boy! Love the eye products. I promised I would not buy another palette until I use up some, darn. Thanks for the tip on using a matt palette with the metallic. I bought the UD Metals palette but there are no matts in it so have been looking for one to match with it. I love the palette though.

I picked up that UD palette but haven't really dug into it yet. I love the UD formula so I will surely like it. And to get around the need to use up palettes, I've just started calling myself a "collector" :-D

Ok, I definitely need to try the Maybelline Lasting Drama eyeliner because I've bought everything else so far that's been said to stay in the waterline. 😂 And now I am also going to try the Maybelline Total Temptation mascara because I had the same feelings about the L'oreal one & I too really like UD's Perversion.

I've heard a few people now say that Total Temptation is a dupe for the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir (which is my all time favorite), and... you know, there might be something to that. And those Lasting Drama liners have a new spring shade range - kind of pastel-ish. I picked up the champagne one last night. Haven't tried it yet!

Shelly! Damn it I wasn't going to buy a shadow palette for a while lol, but that Zodiac Palette looks amazing and the price is awesome! Update on the Elf Beauty Shield Primer.......I finally got my paws on it lol and used it today. I have to say I really like it so far! I was worried because in the last two weeks I've tried the Becca First Light Priming Filter, Estee Lauder The Smoother, PTR Skin to Die For and Smashbox Photo Finish and none of them worked well at all for me, so yay Elf!

I recently bought the Maybelline Total Temptation mascara too and like it at least as much as the L'Oreal Lash Paradise. Like you, I will probably not repurchase the LP either due to it's short life. I do still like the regular Voluminous formula in the dark grey tube with gold top. It's just as nice as the LP, several dollars cheaper, and so far it's lasting much longer. As for the tube, have you tried cleaning it with straight rubbing alcohol? I use it to remove sticky residue from labels and stuff, so I wonder if it would work to remove mascara from plastic. :)

Mascara has lacquer-like ingredients. Once it has dried, it's like shellac! I hope the alcohol works, let me know! :) Another DIY cleaner for sticky stuff is a mixture of equal parts baking soda and vegetable oil. Just a teaspoon of each mixed together. Then apply a generous layer to the spot, let it sit for 20 minutes or so, then scrub it off with a kitchen scrubber. After spot is removed, you can wash it off with soap and water.

UPDATE: I have a few mascaras that are mediocre in performance but there was something about them that I still liked enough not to throw them out. Today I decided to test them swapping out the brushes/wands. For instance, I have several Catrice mascaras and like the fat, soft brushes but 2 of the formulas were pretty disappointing. I also have the Milani Trifecta mascara that I like a lot but have always hated the skinny wand with the short, sharp, rubber bristles. I pulled the brush out of my Catrice Glam & Doll formula, washed and disinfected it, and now use it with the Trifecta mascara. Best of both worlds! I also really like the Maybelline Total Temptation formula but I don't like the brush as much as the ones from other products like Catrice or L'Oreal. So I swapped out the brush as an experiment. Holy Crap!! Huge difference! I washed and disinfected the original brush just in case I need to go back to it but I will never again throw out a great brush when the mascara is used/dried up. UPDATE #2: LOL! While doing this experiment, the tubes got a bit messy. My Total Temptation especially looked pretty gunky afterwards. After using alcohol to try and clean it, (which did about 80%), I pulled out a facial wipe that I don't like but kept for swatching purposes and it cleaned it completely! It's the Alba Botanica Hawaiian detox towelettes-volcanic clay formula. I hate the smell of these, like mud. But they cleaned all of the dried mascara off of that pink tube! I knew I had to share this with you! LOL! :D

Oy it's so cold!!! Happy new year, Marlene! I am enjoying the 39A! The only downside I've found so far is that the reddest red shade stained my eyelids for a few days! And I had primer underneath, too, so it's pretty potent. It's not a versatile as the JH palette and I don't think I'd say anyone "needs" it - ie. I probably won't do a video on it. But the shadows are nice and I basically got it for those red shades because I didn't have anything quite like them in my stash. I am glad I have it and I've worn it in a few videos so far. I haven't gotten the Colored Raine. This is going to sound like an odd reason not to have bought it yet - but whenever I break into buying from a new brand I've never used before, I feel like it will open the flood gates of buying more makeup. So I try to be careful because I already buy religiously from so many brands. LOL! Don't worry. It won't last long. I always cave. There's no such thing as a no-buy in my world! :-D

LOL, yes, it makes sense! I tend to do the same with KVD! Nope, there's no such thing as a no-buy in my world either. I did that once in my life and fell into a deep depression! I will say that if you get the Colored Raine, beware! You will be hooked! They're AMAZING! Ok, so I won't talk to you about Dose of Color! ... Juvia's Place are the most pigmented shadows I've used, and they leave my lids pretty stained! Thanks for the info! I'll skip the 39A! PS I always "need" new palettes! :-)

Ha! I returned the Matte Peach Palette and bought the Shade n Light instead! I thought I would love that damn peach palette and ordered it the second it launched. Sadly, the shadows would not stick to my eyes. I would create the prettiest looks and within a few hours the colour had all but disappeared. Never had eyeshadows react that way before, especially more highend shadows like TooFaced. Broke my heart to let it go, but at the same time, I am super happy I finally took the plunge and got the KVD. Also, i can't find those Maybelline liners in the brights anywhere. Walmart Canada carries the blue one, but I haven't found the purple of green colours anywhere.

Oh man, that is a bummer on the Matte Peach! Body chemistry vs makeup is a crazy thing! I'm still heartbroken over the Physicians Formula foundation. Tati just wore it and it looked so beautiful on her! *sobs* So far my only difficulty in finding the Maybelline liners is that the colors are sold out in the drugstores here. I've seen them at Target, CVS, Walmart, and Walgreens. I don't know how many of those chains you've got up there!

Geek Out of Water Ha! Try zero. Well we have Walmart of course, but that is it sadly. We had Target for a minute when they bought out a large chain department store we had in Canada called Zellers, but it was gone within 6 months I think. Not sure what the company was thinking. Possible some sort of cash grab, because that's a pretty expensive oops if you ask me. Our main drugstores here are Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmasave, and London Drugs. And then of course the big supermarkets all have their beauty departments. I wish more than anything we had a Ulta. I would give a pinkie toe for one 🙃

I've got another dupe for the KVD tattoo liner. It's the Jessie's Girl liquid eyeliner from Rite Aid. It's amazing, CF and only $6! The only drawback is that you have to get it from Rite Aid or on the Jessie's Girl website. But it's worth it. I also love the KVD saint and sinner palette. It was my favorite palette of 2017...hands down. I'm noticing that we have a lot in common, so I guess I'll stop watching all of your videos from the sidelines and subscribe 😉👍👍👍

Hi Whitney! Yes, definitely. I'm nervous because the Physicians Formula (the Eye Boosting 2 in 1 serum liner - Ultra Black) is disappearing from shelves and online. I know they were in the process of a big repackaging for spring, but I'm scared that they'll discontinue it and I didn't notice in time to buy any backups. I'm on my last one!

Yep that's me too - I run right around neutral with slightly cool undertones. I can get away with slightly warm, but I prefer the look of cool. I'm always 1R03 or 1Y03 in the ColorIQ, sometimes 2R03 in the summer (I don't tan - I just get more pink! LOL). Happy new year!

Tiffany Conard She's got the best foundation reviews I have come across. I find it very difficult to trust most foundation reviews on KZbin, not because the reviewer's are necessarily not trustworthy, but rather the majority of these girls/boys are in their early 20's with perfect skin. All foundations looked great on me too when I was young without a wrinkles and or spot of dryness. When I found Shelly I watched all her foundation reviews and have ending up buying most of her recommended picks if I didn't already own them.

Oh no! I just bought that Lash Paradise mascara in the waterproof version because I was interested to try it, but didn't know it dried out so fast :( Luckily, I got it for (almost) free since CVS had a few coupons that I was able to combine.

It's still beautiful! I heard a trick here in the comments that I haven't tried yet - put a few contact lens drops or eye rewetting drops in the tube when it dries out and shake it up. Brings it back to life. I need to try that on my tube!
