SECRET LEVEL Episode 15 - G.I. JOE: THE MOVIE May Be Super Weird, But We Love It! Yo Joe!

In Episode 16 of Secret Level, we put the spotlight on the classic 1987 animated film, G.I. Joe: The Movie! This was a favorite animated movie of ours when we were kids, but it wasn't until we watched it as adults that we could appreciate how completely bonkers this movie was!
This movie is filled with so much awesome weirdness and insanity and we talk about it all! We share some silly commentary and offer behind-the-scenes details about the making of the movie presenting information that you may have never heard before.

The Optimus Prime "trauma" _was_ real. Back in 1986- a Local mall near where I grew up was running "free Children's Movies" at the attached theater during the Holidays (so parents could shop for their kids without them). One of the films shown was _The Transformers: The Movie._ At 13- I was probably one of the oldest kids in the theater at that time... but being surrounded by bawling 8-10 year-olds following the infamous "Death Scene" was an experience I hope I never repeat. All that being said- I think the parental outrage was a bit much.

I remember liking Cobra La, and Jinx, but found the rest of the new characters to be not great. Chuckles was stupid.
