I absolutely loved the book! I just recently discovered Miller as a writer and I definitely really vibe with his style of storytelling and writing. I felt like the book did such a great job taking everything from 89 that people both love and don't like and blending them together to make for a richly absorbing experience that is so damn entertaining. I personally am a big fan of Batman Returns so I really enjoyed all of the hints and winks to that movie and I honestly can't wait to read the next one. I agree with you that he should make a trilogy. And if he's able to somehow stick the landing on that it would just be amazing. Thanks so much for your review!

The audiobook version is worth a listen. Really makes the characters come to lie. Put on the Danny Elfman soundtrack in the background on you’re all set

I’ve read the book twice. I thought the story was excellent. My only criticism is that I’m not a fan of Batman moving about in the day even in grey camo suit, and I would have liked Miller to have given more descriptive words or sentences to conjure the feel and look of the city.

I would be interested to hear your take on Batman Echoes. I’ve been reading it as it’s been coming out. I feel that six issues is too short for the story they want to tell. Not enough time to establish the villains of the piece.
