Yeah! Image if someone who does not know CPR, suddenly wants to help, and by searching instructions in youtube they are delayed by advertisements and most of them, must pass 5 seconds to skip them! 😡

@@geekymedics I think it would be really a good idea to create a "first-aid" playlist, like the video on 'assessing the level of consciousness' could be listed there. Great to refresh knowledge, even for first responders or everyone assisting in response to an accident.

What do you mean by the airway being secured? And furthermore, I've also heard that compressions in sets of 10 is also acceptable. Are both techniques equally effective?

What if someone has Pectus excavatum, what do we do then? My partner's chest goes in, he's currently under investigation to see if he has a blood clot of his lung so I want to be as much prepared as I can if a heart attack was to happen, he also has asthma, I read to give someone an asprin to chew or place under their tongue, aspring can make his asthma worse so what is a good alternative please? Thank you for any help ❤ great video!

I am not in any way a medical professional but never place anything in the mouth of an unconscious person. Beyond that, talk to your doctor.

How do you know whether the airway is secured or not? And whether you need to do continuous chest compressions or if you need to do 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths?

Put your ear near their mouth and hear if they are breathing or not. That's what I know

Airway is secured if they are intubated/ ET tube or they have at least a supraglottic airway in place. Then continuous chest compressions can be given along with someone squeezing air down the tube from a ventilator or bag (10 breaths/min) ET tubes can be inserted by trained personnel like paramedics and specialist doctors. A supraglottic airway can be inserted by anyone who has attended intermediate life support or Advanced life support course and feels competent to do so.

Literally ads that are at least 5 seconds long in a situation where 3 seconds without compressions could end up fatally. Google you are quite literally complicit, no preroll ads on guides for emergency situations. Respect to the channels that make these videos, but usually if someone wants/needs cpr training they go get it. Most of the time ppl will be reaching out for guidance if no one around is trained
