I had the Samsung S3 in the past and it was great. Yes the voice assistant feature was rubbish but I never wanted to talk to my watch anyway! Does anyone? The most important thing about a watch is how it feels and the S3 was excellent, the bezel for control was very clever. I could reply to messages from my watch but I never did, it is far too fiddly! After two and a half years my S3 died. Now I have an Amazfit GTR. It is a semi-smartwatch, for me, it is better. I get the basics which are more than enough. The 24+ day battery life is exceptional. The actual feel of the watch is great too, I can have it on my wrist all the time. My advice is to really think whether you will use the features. It isn't difficult to take your phone out of your pocket and in many cases we do that anyway, it is instinctive.

I don't want to spend 5-15k on a semi smart watch because I can get that in a fitness band for like 2500 rs. And then the only smartwatch that's good enough is Apple watch but its two cons are first it's way expensive, 2nd you need an iPhone. Then only option is Galaxy watch 3. But then it's like 35-40k for cellular version. If you're paying that much premium amount and you get half-baked Bixby, I'd say that amount is not worth it. Then I think active 2 is the next best thing and tbh its looks are not my type. In the end, there is not a single smart watch that I can buy. :(

For me smart watch is something which tracks my workout like walking running and cycling without the need to carry current trend of bulky phones, tracks my sleep patterns and motivates fitness levels. Basic notification supports to show or ignore a call while driving and messages to just see if its important. For all this Amazfit Bip with its budget friendly price is excellent and I am Happy.😊

No one uses voice assistant in India.. It's hit and a miss with Indian ascents and I haven't seen any person wearing apple watch or galaxy watch talking on their watch in public. Its not practical. I have galaxy S3 frontier since 2016 and my Mom has apple watch, I can tell you that from my personal experience too.. Short replies can be done via keyboard on the galaxy watch or send pre written replies. You just can't compare a smartwatch just based on its assistant. You have to factor in design, practicality, versatility, compatibility, price, features and then come to a conclusion. Apple watch is gr8 but only works with an iPhone. It's a bummer as galaxy watch works with any OS. I think that's the main limitation plus the 50k price tag. Plz do reflect on these topics Ranjit. Cheers!!

I mostly use smartwatch to quickly glance at notifications while driving. I don't prefer to reply back on the watch, I would rather use a watch to do the same. Also, the battery back-up matters a lot to me. My Huami Amazfit Stratos 2 smartwatch lasts for 2 weeks on a single charge. 🙂

Don't buy smartwatch as primary watch. Just sold my ticwatch E after using for 2 years. Hated how it became slow over the time and the headache to recharge these daily .. , i used to keep Bluetooth off to prevent constant buzzing of notification on watch. Found changing watch faces cool for few months after which it was not that fun .. , now happy to be back on new G shock GBA 800 which tracks steps, also bought a mechanical watch so that i don't have to charge or replace battery ever, hope that it run fine for many years ... ... Watches are not just to check time, when you watch your watch they take back you in time with memories. So buy a watch which can last atleast 10 years..

Should have tried the Versa2 along with these man. My point in writing is... As in smart watchs we can choose the notifications which we wana be displayed on our watch screen. And if we find the need to reply, jst take out the mobile and reply.. No need to talk to the watch and let the ones beside and around know what we are up to. Also taking out the phone and replying over the mobile if found difficult then there's no reason in buying a 1lakh phone and keeping it in the pocket... I am a big fan and a regular follower of ur channel and u do all ur reviews in a decent manner, not inclined to any brands, hope u know what i mean to convey... In the end I feel the need of a wearable device for me is that I can go out for a walk or run without my phone in the pocket and even then can carry my music along in the watch... Keep up with my activities and the notifications.... weather there's a need to attend a call or reply to a msg,. If there is then its turn of my phone to come out of the pocket 😊😊😊
