This camera is good. I have two. The downside is there is not an option to put date/time stamp on saved footage and pictures. Also, im not sure how long the camera will work once or if the power cord is disconnected (in event an intruder or sneaky person attempts this). Yi should also create this option in this camera or some tyoe of an alarm notifying the owner if the camera is being tampered with (i.e. the SD card being removed or the power cord disconnected/loss of power). Other than these issues It serves all the purposes I could want. A bit pricey in my tastes; however, you can get deals online sometimes.

Thank you so much for sharing this. There really are no directions that come with it on how to use this camera. Your video has shown me that it is exactly what we need. I have 1 question though. Can it be synced with other phones as well? We are putting these camera's in my grandma's house to keep an eye on her when we can't be with her. If the camera is connected to your home network, then it should pair with your smartphone through the app. I really don't know what the issue could be, have you tried using a different phone?

My camera stopped working after four months of use and I have no guarantee, IY does not answer me. I bought the camera "YI Dome Camera 1080p" on the website "Mercado Livre", in Brazil. Alerts to my iPhone 6 stopped. I have verified all setting on iPhone and device app. Can't get it to work. Alerts are received by shared family....Any suggestions? Tried rebooting phone, turning on off app and camera settings, reset camera, unplugged camera....will not alert when motion is detected. It does record and shows alert in app, but no alert on phone.

Jordi Rubalcaba only what's on this video mate. The quality will depend purely on your mobile data connection, if you have strong 4g signal the you will get great quality video, of you are on a poor 3g connection then it will be pixelated.

Troy Nugget Yes, if you watch all my video, I show you this. YOu use the app on the phone and it does not matter where you are, just aslong as you have a mobile data connection or connected to any other WiFi network :)

Barbara G hello. It probably needs to be factory reset, there is a reset button on it which needs to be pressed in. There is another way though! If you can login to your new modem, you can change the SSID name to the same one as your old one and set the password the same. The camera will connect to it then :)

Bought this camera along with the Lenova Smart display as a security system for my mothers house. Unfortunately the YI and the Lenova are NOT compatible. She is 85 years old and doesn't have or want a "Smart" phone, so the YI and the Smart Display by Lenova is worthless. Also, the outdoor version of the YI has a USB and a Wall plug adapter which would be terrible to plug in outside someplace, so you'd have to drill an access hole and an extension cord in order to make it work....that is a problem for most....so today I'm taking the YI back and getting the NEST system.

@@chrissyoz2496 I got my Yi cloud dome. I think the only downside i noticed is that only 1 device(which I connected through app with QR scan) is allowed to browse the saved footage on SD card. If you want other device to access the cam is you have to share the cam via your Yi app, in which other devices can only view the live feed not the saved footage.

Fatal id say up and down is 180 degrees. And it does make noise but you can’t hear it. The only way you can is if you go on the app and listen via microphone. Also there’s an option to hide the blue light, you should use that if you’re trying to hide it.
