1960s documentary covering the everyday work on Corio Bay of the tug "Geelong". Unfortunately, many of the industries and the products they produced are no more today. Transfer from a 16mm print in my film library

Cunningham pier is just an eyesore now. Should have been made a marine museum. Some of the original pier is left at rippleside and the slipway is there still

Another steam tug boat from Geelong was scrapped and its engine is now at the steam preservation build at the Geelong show grounds

My dad has the life preserver ring. Think that's all that is left after scrapping.

A great historical document. A shame about the amateurish and laboured attempt at a rhyming narration, and that musical score by Dreyfus is quaint but laughable.
