GEELY MONJARO - ANDROID AUTO - CARLINKIT - How to configure

STEP1
Arranging Hardware Pre- requisites
* Carlinkit

.* USB C to A Adaptor

* USB C to Cable
STEP 2
Go to Dial page in Monjaro Screen
Dial - #*32279 - Enter
Select 4th sub menu from bottom -
Turn OFF the first line item
Turn ON the second line item - ADB
* Download Android Platform Tools

* Download Autokit APK

* Install Autokit APK Steps
In Windows Laptop - open Windows Powershell ,run the following commands
-- COMMANDS --
* cd C:\Android - This command takes the working folder to the android platform tools folder. Please check the actual path of the downloaded Android platform tools folder.
* adb devices - This command List out the Monjaro Android Headend unit with name 12345678
* adb install "folder path" - This command install the autokit application to Monjaro Android Headend
Exampe : adb install " C:\Android\AutoKit_2024.04.29.1049.apk"
STEP 3
Go to Dial page in Monjaro Screen
Dial - #*32279 - Enter
Select 4th sub menu from bottom -
Do the reverse of STEP 2 as below
Turn ON the first line item
Turn OFF the second line item - ADB
** Turn off the Vehicle , lock and return after 5 minutes
Switch on the Vehicle, Autokit APK shall be visible in the Screen
Connect the Carlinkit to the 2nd USB C port in Monjaro
Enable Wifi & Bluetooth in the Phone and connect to Autokit Wifi - password is "12345678" along with Bluetooth connected to Autokit
Run the Autokit Application, and voila Android Auto screen pops up. Modify the Settings in Autokit as desired.

Been looking for a decent video to have this installed in my Geely Monjaro. Perhaps this is the first I've come across in English. I've seen a couple in Russian and Arabic. Even that installation procedure seemed like a goose chase. Its a bummer the car doesn't come preinstalled with an android auto or Carplay. My only worry is if it will mess with the internal OS of the car which will effect the warranty. But looks like a risk i need to take. Nice job. Much appreciated.
